Sydney, January 3: Although disappointed with the umpiring standards in the ongoing second cricket Test against Australia here, the Indian team management has decided not to lodge an official protest in the matter.

"We are surely disappointed at the umpiring seen in this Test, which could have a bearing on the outcome of this match but we surely are not lodging an official protest on it," the team's media manager M V Sridhar said on Thursday.

BCCI vice president Rajiv Shukla had stated on Wednesday that the team management would be asked to report the matter officially but there seems to have been a rethink on the issue.

Several umpiring mistakes on the opening day of the Test cost Indians dearly as Andrew Symonds was reprieved twice and went on to score an unbeaten 162 to take Australia to a total of 463.

Lodging Protest Against Bad Umpiring by sekhar on 03 Jan 2008

IF you don't lodge a protest, this injustice and sham will continue shamelessly and test matches will have no meaning. Whatever may be the re-think, clearly it must have been a pressure tactic that Indian team management caved in once again under.

Good bribe is all that is needed by Jack on 03 Jan 2008

Indian Management will not file complaint against the Symond decision. AUZ have bribed. Two easy LBWs to for Kumble to better is statitics. Dropped catches for Dravid and Laxman to boost them. WHAT MORE BRIBES Are needed for Seniors? It should secure 10-20 more innings for Senior within Indian side.I don't think the new generation of young bowlers would have chance if Sresant, Zaheer and Munaf were well. As far Ishant is concerned they already have already recalled VRV. There is no consistent training or support for youngsters if they don't belong to a cartel.

Not to lodge complaint - Foolishness by Team Management by Rajan on 03 Jan 2008

This is really dis heartening by the Team management after so many decisions went against. I feel it is a stretegy by Steve suceesssfully had done over the years and India should look in to it. Infact ICC should calll for an enquiry as to Steve buckner whether under Bookies or on Corruption charges because he was always against India. If it is against Australia they would have banged the Umpires by this time and would have ended their careers. but India is always Surrendering the chance that is why British were ruling us for so many years.Be a Proud Indian but do not leave your fight.rajan
