The american economic juggernaut has been derailed by Obama and now he is busy derailing her military clout.Who would have thought that an American president would be bowing to the Japanese emperor and the Saudi king.His presidency bodes ill for India,fortunate for Pakistan and glorious for China.The Indian policy wonks should scratch their heads hard and come up with a four year strategy with which to deal with Obama.Pakistan has the terrorisim card to play,China the economic card and India unfortunately has no card to deal with. To get any favor from them US can pay any price to revive their economy and India does not any improtence to them. If it was its apart then why Chinese sent their army there. 1962 China attacked and annexed a large part of our land. US never reacted to Communist China for this illegal act. Now Manmohan is going to US on November 22, I do not understand what could be purpose of his in the light of China-US joint communique. India must react strongly against CHINA, US and Pakistan(rogue). Try to learn to stand on its feet.

USA wants India as terror strick absorber, not fighting against terror. There were recent study shows that, since India is absorbing lots of terror activities in the East, the west is safe that much. USA is planning to make the terror minded outset to think India as their enemy. This is the reason why USA and NATO forcing Indian authority to join hands with NATO in Afghanistan. By understanding this situation, India cunningly refused the invitation, but how long Indian politics is capable of resisting thins is unknown. The fact of the matter is that both the USA and China can be very helpful in improving security in SE Asia. How so? Both China and the USA should stop arming Pakistan and pressure their client state to mend its ways and stop using terrorism against India, Afghanistan and Iran. Secondly, China should grant Tibet independence and forego its wishful claims on Taiwan and parts of India. It should not be forgotten that our country had accepted the mediation from Soviet union ( now Russia) in the form of Tashkent agreement even after winning the 1965 war with Pakistan.The Simla agreement has also proved a failure because the dispute on Kashmir is still alive. Now the US President has accepted that Tibet is a part of China but on the question of Kashmir the American approach is quite different.There is a lurking fear in America that if peace exists then India will become an economic and military super power.

It is time that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh considered canceling his forthcoming state visit to the US. President Obama is trying to run with the hare and hunt with the hounds. Already he is trying to back track the commitments made by the Bush administration in respect of the nuclear deal and now he is trying to bracket India with Pakistan. He openly accepted that Tibet was part of China and didn't want to meet HH Dalai Lama. He is not able and ready to confront China because he believes it is the economic power house. If US starts to reduce consumption of Chinese goods, the Chinese economy will take a big dump. India also should restrict Chinese imports and limit its power in South Asia. China neither respects human rights nor plays by the rules. It is time to limit China's global outreach by restricting its imports otherwise we will be creating another Third Reich. History will record Obama as the weakest US President for not standing up for the cause of Tibet.

Will China accept India as a third party participant when a dialogue takes place between China & Taiwan for unification? China should not show interest to participate in talks between pakistan & India. If at all there is a talk between India & pakistan, it should be to improve trade relations; not on Kashmir; what right pakistan has to talk on Kashmir. The need of the hour for India is to send away the so called cultural ambassadors like adnan sami, cricket players and any others if pakistan continues to be a terrorism sponsor. Talks can take place between peace loving people only; and not to those who do not understand the language of peace & harmony. Unless pakis change their educational set up, the younger generation will be familiar with only knives, swords, grenades, bombs, violence & riots.

The official reaction of the Govt to reference in the US-China communique envisaging a third party monitoring role for the latter on South Asian affairs,while it conveys essential opposition to interference in overly mild language,lacks any sense of finality.Third party role is not necessary just yet, perhaps may be useful at a later stage when things don't work out as it should? The language is imprecise and holds out an invitation to mediation in the future.

The official statement is correct and timely. But, why is this govt talking to unelected & unrepresentative Hurriyat behind people's back? Was it about relocating the Hurriyat leaders, members and their family in Pakistan?

This latest two-faced approach of the US President is something that would not surprise any regular & discerning follower of International Politics. The US is two-faced like the ancient Roman god Janus: it says politically correct (but insincere) things to the country which is playing host to its President or the Secretary of State. India must not mince words and our PM Dr. Manmohan Singh should give Obama (and Hillary Clinton) a piece of his mind when he meets them in Washington. Due to the constraints of 'realpolitik' we can not afford to be too harsh with the US, but neither do we need to bow before it and accept all it says. After all, we are the largest democracy in the world and our huge population automatically creates a very lucrative market which even the US can not ignore - for its own sake!

But a country riddled with corrupt, unimaginative politicians -- and population too busy with useless Bollywood to hold politicians' feet to the fire -- things move slowly to get the economy going at a rapid fire pace. So Manmohan Singh will go to the White House, hear the platitudes about the "world's largest democracy", have his and India's ego stroked, and then return to the same sanguine inertia that he left behind. Meanwhile, Chinese treasury would have piled up another few hundred million dollars that they will use to build missiles aimed at India and others. Jai Ho!

If India could snub Holbrooke, Obama's Af-Pak man, there is nothing to stop India from snubbing China, if the Chinks try to poke their nose in Indo-Pak relations.
