New Delhi, June 4: Despite a win and a draw against the Chinese Taipei in May, India slipped two places to 153rd in the latest FIFA ranking.

India, which has 136 points to its kitty, now shares the spot with Tajikistan, which also features in the AFC Challenge Cup in Hyderabad in July.

The South Asian champions had beaten Chinese Taipei 3-0 in the first friendly on May 24 before playing out a 2-2 draw three days later.

Western neighbours Pakistan jumped one place to 160th while Bangladesh slipped three places to 183rd.

Among the AFC members, Australia toppled Japan (38th) to occupy 35th spot, followed by Korea Republic (45th).

Argentina still tops the overall list ahead of Brazil and Italy. Spain, Germany, Czech Republic, France, Greece, England and the Netherlands take the remaining eight places of the top ten in that order.

The only change in the top 10 is England gaining two places to number nine at the expense of Portugal, which slipped to number 11.
