New Delhi Left arm pacer Irfan Pathan made a comeback on Tuesday when he picked the very important wicket of Tillakaratne Dilshan to put India in front against Sri Lanka in the fifth match of the ODI tri-series at Adelaide Oval on Tuesday.

Pathan dismissed Dilshan (16) in the eighth over to reduce Lanka to 28/2 in 7.1 overs.

India got off to a great start after losing the toss as pacer Vinay Kumar dismissed Upal Tharanga for duck on second ball of the match.

Virender Sehwag has back trouble and thus made way for the return of Sachin Tendulkar, while paceman Zaheer Khan has an injured calf, allowing Irfan Pathan to make his first appearance in the tournament.

Dhammika Prasad and Lahiru Thirimanne were left out of the Sri Lankan team, making way for Thisara Perera and Rangana Herath.

Dhoni's men have got a shot in the arm after beating Sri Lanka and Australia in successive matches and their much in debate rotation policy has till now worked.

India: MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Ravinder Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Vinay Kumar, Irfan Pathan and Umesh Yadav.
