Rain/thundershowers at:

East: Isolated places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and mainly dry in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand and Bihar.

North: Many places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir; a few places in west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarkhand, Punjab and isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Central: Isolated places in west Madhya Pradesh and mainly dry in east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and chatisgarh.

Peninsula: Isolated places in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and mainly dry in Gujarat state, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Islands: Isolated places in Nicobar Island, Lakshadweep and mainly dry in Andaman Island.

Temperatures recorded in four metropolitin centres were:

Kolkata max 28 (+1 ) d c min 15 (+1 ) d c

New Delhi max 23 (+2 ) d c min 13 (+6 ) d c

Chennai max 29 ( n ) d c min 20 ( n ) d c

Mumbai max 35 (+6 ) d c min 20 (+1 ) d c.

The western disturbance as an upper air system extending upto 3.1 kms a.s.l. over Jammu and Kashmir and neighbourhood persists. The cyclonic circulation extending upto 0.9 km a.s.l. over east Rajasthan and neighbourhood persists.

The cyclonic circulation extending upto 0.9 km a.s.l. over east Uttar Pradesh and neighbourhood also persists. The trough in mid and upper tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 7.6 kms a.s.l. now runs roughly along Longitude 65 degree East to the north of Latitude 20 degree. Systems are likely to move eastnortheastwards.

Night temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in some parts of Vidarbha, Rayalaseema, interior Karnataka and of Kerala and were below normal in some parts of Telangana and of Tamil Nadu.

They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat state and Marathwada and were above normal in some parts of Madhya Maharashtra and of coastal Andhra Pradesh.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Realised rainfall and chief amounts in cms during past 24 hours at;

East: Mainly dry.

North: Most places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir; a few places in Punjab; isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, east Rajasthan and mainly dry in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarkhand. Quazigund 1.4, Ganganagar 1.2, Churi 1.1, Banihal 1.0, Srinagar 0.9, Amritsar 0.8, Jammu city 0.7, New Delhi (SDF) 0.6, Hissar, Karnal 0.5 each, Ambala, Namaul 0.4 each, Nahan 0.3, Chandigarh and Dhramsala 0.2 each, Patiala, Ludhiana, Shimla and Bikaner 0.1 each.

Central: Mainly dry.

Peninsula: Isolated places in Tamil Nadu and mainly dry in Gujarat state, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala.

Islands: Mainly dry.
