The trough of low at sea level over southwest and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal now lies over southwest Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood. The western disturbance as an upper air system over eastern parts of Jammu and Kashmir has moved away northeastwards. A fresh western disturbance as an upper air system lies over north Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir.
The cyclonic circulation over Punjab and neighbourhood persists and now extends between 2.1 and 3.1 kms a.s.l. A trough in mid and upper tropospheric westerlies with it's axis at 7.6 kms a.s.l. runs roughly along. Long. 62 degrees East to the north of Lat. 15 degrees North. Above three systems are likely to move east northeastwards. The cyclonic circulation extending upto 0.9 km a.s.l. over south Tamil Nadu and adjoining Kerala persists. The trough in the lower level westerlies from Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim to Orissa has become less marked.
