Washington, July 10: The United States has said that there was no evidence suggesting involvement of foreign agents in the attack on the Indian embassy in Afghanistan that left 41 people dead.

“I haven't seen any evidence or proof that foreign agents were involved,” Defence Secretary Robert Gates said during a media briefing at Pentagon.

The Bush administration has not publicly said much about the terror attack on the Indian Mission in Kabul.

It has, however, made the point that Washington has been in touch with the governments in Kabul and New Delhi and that it has offered assistance to the two governments for tracking down the perpetrators of the bombing.
