On the eve of International Women’s Day, the saffron party asked the Indian women to desist from aping the western culture.
“Beauty is gifted by nature and the almighty. How can there be a contest,” BJP president Rajnath Singh said at a women’s conference in New Delhi to mark the occasion.
He noted that contest can be of some quality which is developed by one’s efforts and not on something which has been gifted by God.
Singh recollected that he had banned beauty contests in Uttar Pradesh when he was the Chief Minister of the state.
The BJP chief expressed concern over the growing craze for the Western culture and some women taking to it.
“We should not try to follow the Western culture. You are Indian women and this needs to be remembered,” he said.

Indian women do not really need to follow wstern beauty contest cultures. This is another way to promote prostitution and spoil women of Indian origin. As Almighty said human are proud by nature , promoting beauty contest will ingnite the fire more so, a social problem could be create by this evil propoganda of the western world.
