Afridi also slammed the Indian media for its "very negative approach" and said the Pakistani media was a "hundred times better" than its Indian counterpart.
"In my opinion, if I have to tell the truth, they (Indians) will never have hearts like Muslims and Pakistanis. I don't think they have the large and clean hearts that Allah has given us," Afridi said during a talk show on Samaa news channel when he was asked about relations between the two countries.
"It is a very difficult thing for us to live with them (Indians) or to have long-term relationship with them. Nothing will come out of talks. See how many times in the past 60 years we have had friendship and then how many times things have gone bad," he said as the audience in the TV channel's studio applauded him repeatedly.
"We don't want to fight with each other but a third country – everyone knows which one it is ¿ is trying to spoil our relations. (This country) is taking advantage of Pakistan and wants to take advantage of India. I don't want to go into details but these people will not let us come together," he added.
Asked about the Indian media's coverage of the Pakistani team during the semi-final with India at Mohali on March 30, Afridi replied: "The Indian media has a very negative approach and very negative thoughts. The people may not be like that but I think the media had a very dirty role in spoiling relations between us and India.
"Our media, which is criticised by people, is hundred times better than theirs," he said.
India beat Pakistan in the semi-final, which was watched by the Prime Ministers of the two countries, who used cricket diplomacy to boost the peace process between the two sides.
Afridi also criticised Interior Minister Rehman Malik for warning the Pakistani team not to get involved in match-fixing and Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir, who vowed to dedicate victory in the World Cup final to victims of the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
"I think they were both very stupid comments by Rehman Malik and Gautam Gambhir...I wasn't expecting this from Gautam...This is all politics, what do you know about who
carried out the Bombay attacks?" he said.
The Mumbai attacks, which left 166 people dead, were carried out by Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba.

For God's sake, let's stop the blame game. Please don't bring the contentious topic of religion in the discussion while we are talking about cricket. India won the match because India took all the oppurtunities that came along and the pakistani players didn't. The people from both the countries shouldn't have any problem in admitting this simple fact and agree to it. Coming back to Afridi's comments, I must say that it's really unfortunate and deserves castigation. By means of his comments, he has clearly shown his immaturity in handling the media and the people. He should have thought twice and acted wise by directing his comments at Gambhir and not at all the Indians. If you want to know why, the answer is that it was his comments and not the comments of all the Indians. As far as our hearts are concerned, we Indians have proved it once more that we are bighearted, both on & off the field by winning the world cup and reacting wisely with Afridi's vague remarks. Proud to be an Indian.
This guy is a two faced split personality! Just when we were starting to like him, he shoots himself down. He spoke well for starters. He is a good peace ambassador . . i thought. Short lived though! Seriously what caption of a national cricket team would make a comment like that? Australians are known for sledging and being arrogant, I can't ever imagine a Ricky Ponting or Sangakara make a comment like that. And then he cries about not being included in IPL. Does he think commenting like this is going to help him and his team mates enter the IPL? Forget it dude! You are a let down Afridi - and you come across as an idiot. And Bhaji and Yuvi! I know you guys are delirious with joy on winning the WC - but your comments are just as reactive. This is like a school yard fight. Grow up boys! Save your voice - use it for the anti-corruption movement like your captain Dhoni.

I had been really impressed with Afridi's words and behaviour after Pakistan's semi-final loss, especially his sporting attitude. This comes as a huge disappointment. His words in Pakistan seem to stem from his desire to appease some of the hard core India-haters in the country. What I don't understand is the hypocrisy. If he had really felt all this about India, he should have said it while he was here. This seems pretty childish. Afridi, as the captain, should have behaved more maturely. The Indian and Pakistani cricketers have a tradition of friendly rivalry. Hope it continues despite such roadblocks.
Being a Pakistani, I do not applaud non-sense remarks by Afridi. He is a person who does not know how to speak. I think this event has helped both nations to come closer. I do not want to go into the useless blame game, but Afridi should not have given such remarks. I apologoise from all Indian public.
what ever afridi said was wrong, he should not have commented on this, the realtionship between both the countries are easing up ...and such comments can distrub peace talks... anyway he is a pathan and everyone is aware they dont use their brains bcs they dont have one.
Indian media ofcourse played a very negative role during cricket world cup(like saying Pakistan as "Purana Dushman" old enemy and political statement by Gautam Gambhir was a shameless statement. If Gautam Gambhir is a son of Sikh, he should not forget Indra Ghandhi ordered Army to enter Golden Temple with shoes to Crush Sikhs. At present, Pakistan is a victom terrorist activities by Indians RAW. Daily bomb blast and millions have been killed in Pakistan. There is daily bombay like incidents happening in Pakistan. But Pakistan is not crying like India. Cricket is just a sport and this world cup will not be with Idian forever. All should refrain from bringing politics into Cricket and play for just cricket...

Lets not mix religion/nation with sports.each one of them have the rights/thouhts on thier religion and nation.Being a sports person,Afridi is not supposed to mix these things.It clearly shows his immaturity to lead a nation from front.

God knows the truth as to what Afridi has faced in India for comments of his. But one thing is fact what Indians think: "Whoever wins the tournament, but Pakistan should never win, its okay if India loose, but Pakistan should never win". These kind of statement may be in even Pakistani's minds. But what kind of attitude is this. I beleive its only a political game trying to be friends. But the fact is INDIA and PAKISTAN can NEVER EVER be friends. The hatred will continue, untill the humanity on this earth...
Afridi is a man of rules. He give his 1st statement that why you hate indian, he said this because he always has a positive approach but its a hard truth that indian are not largehearted. Pak vs. India Match was a fixed match. The match was fixed by Pakistan government. That is why Pakistani team has refused to get any reward from Government and refused to visit PM house. Afridi is the Man of honor.
I am not at all surprised over Afridi's comments after his return to Pakistan from India recently. Because allmost all Pakistanies are born double faced and cruel hearted over Indians as seen over the years. During last 60 years they had attacked us first with the so called clean hearts given to them by Allaah to claim inncent lives! In fact they are cruel hearted against each other in Pakistan as seen during several military coups there.
Let's get friendly and forget the past. Foster a relatin ship of good matured and civilised neighbours. We have much in common including the religion. India has more muslims than Pakistan. Am quite surprised to hear his latest comments. When he landed at Pakistan Airport he was questioning through their media as to why are they hating indians. When whole of pakistanis enjoy watching Indian Cinemas and listening Hindi Songs. For any celebrations at their homes they play indian songs. Now suddenly what made to critisise the Indian media? This shows his immaturity and how can a immature person can become there Cricket Ambassador?
Forget what Afridi said that is typical two faced cowardly Pakistani talk.Let's use the forum to wish Muralitharan all the very best for his future and let's get him to coach upcoming Indian spinners so that we can develop more players of the class of spin greats like Anil Kumble, Shane Warne and the man himself Muthaih Murlitharan.
His comments clearly indicate that he is a thankless human being.I myself appreciated his first statement but after he changed his colours on it I realized its worthless even to think about what he has said.A humble person (as he claims himself to be)will never ever give such statement about a Nation and its citizens.BOOOOOOO to him.The way he changes colours he cannot be loyal to himself even.We should not give any kind of weightage or value to his comments.They are not at all valuable . I have nothing to say much on Afridi's reaction but I can only say "Kisyani Billi Khamba notche". I mean India was generous to welcome Pakistani prime minister and its citizens at Mohali. One team had to win and it was India. Had it been Pakistan the supporters of Indian team would have supported Pakis in finals than Sri Lankans.....
