Bangalore, December 5: Indian left-arm paceman Zaheer Khan will miss the third and final Test against Pakistan starting on Saturday due to injury, a BCCI official said.

Injuries to several bowlers forced the selectors to name a depleted squad for the Pakistan game and postpone the announcement of the final side for the upcoming Test tour of Australia, naming only 24 probables instead.

"Because of injuries to several players, the final selection of the squad for Australia will be done only on Dec. 12," BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah said.

India will play four Tests in Australia, starting on Dec. 26. They lead the home series 1-0.
