Raipur, November 03: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will be the star campaigner for BJP in Chhattisgarh elections while Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi will campaign for Congress.

With request for Modi's election meetings in their respective constituencies coming from party candidates, the state party election office is trying hard to ensure that Modi takes part in many public meetings as possible where it is felt that Modi's presence would make a significance impact on party's electoral fortunes.

Modi will be campaigning for two days in the state in the last leg of electioneering for the first phase of election.

On the other hand, the state Congress has made it clear that party president Sonia Gandhi, party general secretary Rahul Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would be the star campaigners in the state.

Besides, both these political parties are lining up Bollywood stars to attract crowd during election campaigning.

Cricketer turned television personality and BJP MP Navjotsingh Siddhu, actress turned party MP Hema Malini and television soap queen Smriti Irani would be the BJP's glamour face during electioneering with senior party leaders Lal Krishna Advani, Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj, Venkaiah Naidu and others would be campaigning extensively in the state.

Congress is planning to bring party MP from Mumbai and Bollywood star Govinda and yesteryear bollywood actor Raj Babbar to campaign in the state.

Long Live modi by Suraj Shah on 05 Nov 2008

Just this anouncement, that modi is going to do campaigning in chattisgarh should have given shivers to congress. Sonia can not give a single speech without reading. she has no thoughts. She behaves as her staff suggest her. Modi is a maverick. he has fought corruption. he has brought gujarat to new heights. There is not a single riot or muslim death in gujarat in last 7 years. There has not been a single corruption against any of the MOdi or modi minister in gujarat in past 7 years. Modi has brought corruption to low levels in gujarat. Long live modi. no matter what the rest of india feels, in gujarat he will be the CM for another 25 years.

TRASH LOKKS BETTER IN DUSTBINS. by Sach of life on 03 Nov 2008

Sir, I am sorry to say, that persons like Modi, Ashok Singhal,Advani and Raj Thackarey does not represent the view of normal and law abeiding persons.Attacks on North Indian's, Babri, Churches or Hindu's, Muslim's,Sikh's, Christians, Dalits are unacceptable, and therefore, these persons may pack their bags and leave for Somalia. India certainly does not need these sorts of persons whose aim and objects are to divide and rule.
