Ambala, January 20 The newly formed Janhit Congress Party (JCP) leader, Dr Sarvanand Arya, today criticised the Congress Party by calling it a party of rootless people having no following in the public.

Arya was interacting with the mediapersons at a press conference held in Ambala today. He further added that the JCP headed by former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal has a mass support in the state and the Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee president Phool Chand Mullana had earlier sought ticket to contest election with the blessings of Bhajan Lal.

Arya said the party’s organisation would be finalised within two-three months. He further added that a central body would be constituted within a fortnight to look after the affairs of the party.

Arya said the JCP was a regional party, but it would seek election on all Parliament and State Assembly seats. He ruled out mid-term elections for both Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha. He said that his party would work on three main issues of power shortage, law and order and unemployment, but did not elaborate his viewpoints on the issues. JCP activists Bhoom Singh Rana, Dinesh Sharma, Capt JS Mann and others were also present at the press conference.
