Residents might be able to board the Chandigarh-Delhi Jan Shatabdi Express all seven days of the week. Northern Railways general manager Shri Prakash said steps would be taken to keep a check on the quality of food served in trains. For this, all station managers at important railway stations have been directed to take feedback from passengers. He said the Chandigarh-Ludhiana track would be functional by 2009. “The budget of Rs 41 crore spent this year will be doubled to Rs 75-80 crore in the next budget.”
