An European Tour regular, Shiv Kapur did drop a shot on the eighth hole but did hardly anything wrong. The youngster birdied the fifth and 13th and in between fired his second eagle of the tournament at the par-five 10th hole to hang around for a top 10 finish.
At a three-day total of seven-under 209, Shiv had an elite company in Woods and Spaniard Sergio Garcia at tied fifth. Fellow Indian Jeev returned an identical card to take his 54-hole tally to four-under 212 for the tied 23rd place. Jeev parred the opening hole before reeling off a birdie hat-trick which was intercepted by a dropped shot on the fifth hole.
Jeev atoned for by picking up a shot on the sixth and took the turn at three-under. In his back nine, the bogey on 14th and the birdie on 17th cancelled out each other. Randhawa, however, had a disastrous outing with no end in sight for his plummeting form that saw him slump to tied 52nd at even-par 216. Randhawa has been on a free-fall since then and after a poor second round of 74, the lanky golfer went worse today. Randhawa birdied the second, third and 18th hole but nothing went right in between for India’s highest ranked golfer.
