The flight (9W 491) will take off from Chennai at 5.25 pm and reach Pune at 7 pm. From Pune it (9W 482) will depart at 7.35 pm and reach Chennai at 9.20 pm. Presently, Jet Airways has a connection to Chennai via Bangalore. The flight is at 2 pm. “But with the direct flight in place with suitable timing, it will suit the working class,” said a Jet Airways official.

“There is a lot of demand on Pune- Chennai route, especially, from the IT professionals. As the flight is scheduled to depart at 7.35 pm, they can take the flight after finishing the day’s work. The timing of departure from Chennai is 5.25 pm, which may also suit them to come to Pune after finishing work at Chennai,” added the official.
