Mumbai, February 23: Citing the unruly scenes in Bihar Assembly, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray took a dig at the Bihar MLAs and said that was the reason why he was opposed to the outsiders.

Some MLAs in Bihar created unruly scenes during the Maharashtrian Governor of Bihar R S Gavais address to the state Assembly.

"Why did I have to launch an agitation to protect the culture of Maharashtra? The answer to this question lies in the manner in which the MLAs of Bihar behaved in front of the Maharashtrian Governor of Bihar R S Gavai," Raj, who is prohibited under Magisterial orders to hold public rallies, demonstrations and give provocative statements in media, said.

Raj was refering to Bihar's Maharashtrian Governor Gavai who faced awkward moments in the state assembly when the Opposition protesting the governments ‘all round failure’ created unruly scences during his address and one member asked him to ensure safety of Biharis in Maharashtra in the face of anti-North Indian tirade by Raj Thackeray's MNS.

Raj said, "when the Bihar MLAs created ruckus in front of the Governor, the whole country was watching it. Constitutionally, the post of Governor is highly respected. In Maharashtra people have always given the dignity and respect to the Governors even though they may have difference of opinion with him on crucial issues," he said in a statement.

"For instance the Governor of Maharashtra who hails from Karnataka is Congressman. In Maharashtra one of the vexed issues has been the Maharashtra-Karnataka border issue. In this issue Krishna's stand has always been at variance with Maharashtra. But since he is the Governor of Maharashtra, he has always been given the due respect which he deserves despite even though people here may disagree with him," Raj added.

Are We Aware? by Ashok K Daga on 24 Feb 2008

Politicians the likes of Raj – for that matter all politicians in general, need to answer some fundamental questions:1.Does the Indian constitution allow every India to choose his or her profession and work in any part of the Republic of India or not?2.Does the Indian constitution allow every Indian to practice any religion and rituals in a way that does not interfere with normal public life of others? 3.Does the Indian constitution allow an elected representative of a small minority to victimize the silent majority? 4.Does the Indian constitution allow politicians to breakup the present day India into smaller countries – after all haven’t Indians always become prey to the ‘divide and rule’ policy?5.Does the Indian constitution allow that citing examples from the past exempts any politician from adhering to basic civic behaviour?6.Does the Indian constitution say that the level of academic or real-life education of individuals or groups gives politicians the right to mislead people in the name of a movement? Come on all you citizens of India – elect representatives to take us forward not backwards!

Ethical Governance by SKannath on 24 Feb 2008

Politics is a compendium of underlying ethical and non ethical issues. It calls for good reasoning from all to those responsible towards main ethical issues, equitable distribution of wealth, free education, social and health benefits, rain water harvesting, use of alternate energy solar and wind, old age pensions and full employment. It is possible for India to achieve all of these and its hidden by unrealistic issues .

Educate Maharashtra by Thiyagrajan on 24 Feb 2008

Thackereys and like minded terrorists must be educated and tame before it is too late. What Bihar MLAs tried to show the country that which direction Thackerys and like minded terrorists want to shape India. These Thackereys and like minded terrorists are very much similar to Iddi Amin.

Can he bring all Marathis back... by VVH on 24 Feb 2008

Raj is palying dirty game for sure. He seems to be targeting poor and week people from other states. Why he is not talking same for all foreigners (expatriate)and IT people in Maharashtra?? Because he probably prove himself powerless against these people.I would like to know what are his plan to bring back all maharastrians working in other states. I am sure they will feel the pinch of his direty initiative.

Raj Thackeray by gautam on 24 Feb 2008

Best thing is to ignore Raj.He is a non starter in political arena and he has chosen hatred between various community as tool to gain popularity.Electronic as well Print media must turn their attention away from him. He is out to derive political mileage at first available opportunity.Media is going to make him hero if they continue to give him importance, which he does not deserve.Raj is playing his cards very well. He knows he sat the ball rolling and medias will do the rest. Please donot create another monster after the departure of Bal.

WAKE-UP CALL TO STATE AND CENTRAL GOVERNMENTS: DREADFUL SITUATION CREATED THROUGHOUT THE NATION BY THE THREE THACKERAYS CALLS FOR DREADFUL ACTION AGAINST THE CULPRITS by G. K. Srinivas Iyer on 24 Feb 2008

Bal Thackeray's Shiv Sena sometime back called his fellow Goonda Raj Thackeray's Mahabharat Nirman Sena as ‘bird flu affected poultry, that has no market value’. However this description applies to Bal Thackeray’s Shiv Sena as well. His Shiv Sena or Goonda Raj Thackeray’s Mahabharat Nirman Sena have lost their relevance long back. It was founded and fed on hatred, it had only crocodile tears to shed for poor Maharashtrian middle class and the poor while it amassed immense wealth for one family and some of their chamchas and kutas. The surprise is it survived all these years. In this age of globalisation, where economics is the key word, these rabble rousing party/parties have no relevance any more. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupt absolutely. The day it tasted political power and the moment it became clear that amassing wealth under any means is its only aim, Maharashtrian middle class and the poor felt let down and they have started distancing themselves from it. It is still time for those who call themselves Marathis to wake up from the trance of these people’s opium of ‘Me Marathi Manus’ and realise that both these Senas are nothing but Mafia outfits who have taken you people on a long ride on their Merry-go-Round and have made you ‘BEWAQOOF’ AND ‘ULUS’ all these years while they have amassed fortunes beyond anybody’s dreams.

Gavai Saheb is a Bihari by Hurt Bihari Soul on 24 Feb 2008

Biharis living in Maharshtra over 30-40 years are being forced to flee Maharashtra and here is the generosity of Biharis that they made Sushil Modi a person of Rajsthani origin their Deputy CM and what this person is doing? He is playing dirty politics against Biharis. Gavai Saheb can never be abused in Bihar. Even after Marathis kill all Bihari still Biharis will stand by Gavai Saheb. This idiot low mean creature Modi says that a Dalit Marathi Governor was abused by opposition. Now go and answer Biharis what are your plans to protect 25 lakh of Bihari with this new threat of Raj Thackeray. Biharis have seen what protection was provided to those 40000 Biharis who fled Maharashtra.http://www.bihartimes.com/newsbihar/2008/Feb/newsbihar23feb8.html

IMPOSE PROHIBITORY AND GAGGING ORDERS ON BAL THACKERAY, UDDHAV THACKERAY AND WHOLE OF THEIR GOONDA CADRES by BHARAT BHOOMIPUTRA on 24 Feb 2008

Public opinion all over Mumbai, Maharashtra and India is gathering momentum against the narrow-minded parochial and divisive politics of Bal Thackeray, Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray and calls are increasingly being echoed throughout the nation that the action of the State and Central Government and the police prohibiting Raj Thackeray from organizing demonstrations, rallies, processions, giving provocative statements in media, holding press conferences and shouting slogans to cause breach of peace or cause obstruction in the city should be extended to Bal Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray too. The media has been doing an excellent job having come out as the champion of our freedoms and it is also time for the judiciary, too, to show its mettle. All these three goondas - Bal Thackeray, Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray have first violated the laws and then justified their actions. They should be told that even one violation now would mean lengthy incarceration for them all and the political apparatus which depend on such goondas should also be told in no uncertain terms by the people, press, parliament and the courts that this will not be tolerated anymore. It is clear from all what they have done all these years - that they have created massive law and order problems which this poor nation can ill-afford because it costs millions and crores of rupees to manage the law and order situation created by their stupidity and goondagiri.

Sushil Modi should explain to Biharis what he is doing? by Hurt Bihari Soul on 24 Feb 2008

BJP and its gutter trick! Yes Biharis will ask what is Bihar Government plans to protect 25 lakh Biharis in Maharshtra who have been threatened by Raj Thackeray after their rumour about opposition? See this and if this news is right why Bihari mob should not thrash Sushil Modi for putting life and livelihood of Biharis in danger outside Bihar.http://www.bihartimes.com/newsbihar/2008/Feb/newsbihar23feb8.html

Dirty BJP@game by Hurt Bihari Soul on 24 Feb 2008

Lie of BJP will come out very soon. It was very easy to play Dalit card but with this BJP has put lives of every Bihari in danger in Maharashtra. Rabri Devi has clearly said there was no abuse of Governor. They were protesting against Bihar Government for not including Raj Thackeray’s crime against Biharis in Gavai saheb’s speech. But dirty BJP played dirty trick. At least Manmohan Singh is silent but Main Atal hoon Bihari nahi was the day when Bihari soul was butchered in Bharat! Now will Sushil Modi protect 25 lakh Biharis in Maharashtra? Even Gavai Saheb has said no body abused him. BJP the third grade rotten party!! Party which promoted the theory by thrashing minority you can become nationalist. Exactly the same Raj has asked today if he is thrashing minority Bihari why it not nationalism? Go BJP go and answer him why? 40000 Biharis have fled to Bihar, abused, looted, beaten, molested…what Shushil Modi did to protect them?

Crook BJP@game by Hurt Bihari Soul on 24 Feb 2008

Bihar MLAs have every right to protest as why crime against Biharis was not mentioned in Governors speech. Gavai Saheb is very well respected in Bihar. President Patil herself went to Rabri Devis house, that rarely happens. RJD is part of UPA, there is no question of Bihar opposition abusing Gavai Saheb. He is a Good man and we Biharis are very proud of him. Then question comes from where this thing got in media? This is dangerous trick of BJP’s Sushil Modi! He is playing with the lives of Biharis. It will be interesting to see how BJP reacts to Raj Thackeray’s new demand of sending 25 lakh Biharis Maharashtra!!

Under the roof of democray they rule like Al-Qaida war lords. by "Nautankee" on 24 Feb 2008

We Hindus are equally proud of Maharashtra,Bihar or else, but we are tried of these so called leaders whose agenda or aim is to divide and rule.We should not chose such rouge leaders whose job is to goven like the Al-Qaida war lords, these rouges should know that they are the leaders of a democratic country.

Bihar MLAS and thackery by Grego on 24 Feb 2008

Raj thackery the Dr. is tasting his own medicine. MLAS in Bihar are behaving exactly like Maharashtrians under your culture and guidance are behaving. They are still behind by not physically assaulting like MNS leaders and workers. RS Gavai is helpless inspite of being the Governor because he is yet to be trained by MNS to conduct his business.

An ominous trens portending separatism that needs to be nipped in the bud. by Sharad C. Misra on 24 Feb 2008

The unruly behavior of Bihar MLAs in the Bihar Assembly is undoubtedly condemnable but more condemnable is the stance of the MNS's activists in hounding hounding out the migrants of UP and Bihar engaged in economic activities in the State. But for the migrants from other States Mumbai would have been remained a large fishing village. Let the MNS find Maharashtrian labor force for the building industry in Nasik-Pune belt which come to a near-total standstill due to exodus of Bihar-UP labour. Let the 'sons-of-soil' come forward to replace all the taxi-drivers, vegetable

Root cause by Sicilian on 24 Feb 2008

The root of all problems lies when the Manmohan singh opened the economy and tried to go the capatilist way, leaving the government autonomy, India needs to be a bit more communistic in approach because of its diversity and government having a little bit more control. And the spirit of group work needs to be encouraged.

Changing the colour of Ganges by Pravin Dwarka on 24 Feb 2008

In India today 9 Indians owns more than 90 crore Indians. Raj Thackeray is one of those 9 people owning prime land which he bought for 500 crore and plans to sale them for 10000 crore. But whom he targets, that too openly at free will- Poor Indians. He says he is builder by business but what kind of business he is doing by giving Marathis does of hate Marijuana. Marathis need to be alert. They should realise that this crook builder has murdered a Marathi and he is justifying his murder as accident. Raj Thackeray says Sahyadri will protect mighty himalaya but he is willing to change the clour of Ganges to red with blood of UPites and Biharis. What kind of Nationalism Marathis are dreaming with Tahckeray when they will have to murder 40 Crores of Indians. Is this Nationalism. Marathis have to think!

Raj Thackeray and Governor by Joseph on 24 Feb 2008

Before looking at others behavier, it is better Raj Thackery looks at his own behavier. No cheap Indian politician is better than others. According to Raj, Governor is highly respected. But in democracy every citizen should be equally respected, whatever may be his post. Ofcourse in Indian democracy it is not done!! Post of a Governor is just a simple waste of money at the cost of poor Indian people. So the earlier the post of Governor is supprimed the better it will be for India and its citizen.

Economic forces that will bring Maharastra down due to goondas and impotent centre and opportunits opposition by Jake on 24 Feb 2008

Boycott the products made from Maharastra(WEST COAST) and make the factories for those products in UP, Bengal and Bihar!!!If the XYZ are employing workers after displacing workers from UP/Bihar/Orrisa then their product factories should be set in UP/bengal/bihar!!!THAT IS ONE OF THE WAY TO APPLY ECONOMIC FORCES TO DESTROY MUMBAI. DO NOT WATCH MOVIES MADE IN MUMBAI. the mumbai port (even if bengal and orrisa take 30%, the impact will be astouding), safe bank and other jobs... it is huge industry ...ONCE ATLEAST A 100 LAKH PEOPLE FROM MAHARASTRA will be ON STREET when we even block the service, stock, oil markets and product. WE WILL HAVE THE JUSTICE FOR THEIR DIRT!!!===Impotence of congress has reached it's height from the political opportunist.THE INDUSTRY IN MAHARASTRA WILL PAY BECAUSE OF THE ECONOMIC FORCES THAT WILL GO AGAINST THEM. Watch and see,Does not matter if the impotence does not make union territory or split Maharastra to be more manageable. The economic forces will correct the flawThe Industries will follow the workers, the same Khuuda that gave opportunities in Maharastra will give it elsewhere and snatch it from the "groupies" snatchersIt CAN HAPPEN THAT ALL STATES AROUND REFUSE TO BUY ANYTHING MADE FROM MAHARASTRA INCLUDING THE MOVIES!!! The impotence of the top COngress leaders is making the ORGANIZED goondas escape without their orgs being labelled terrorist and opposition is quiet.Heck!!!

Biharis are nowhere safe in India except Bihar by Hurt Bihari Soul on 24 Feb 2008

Don't worry this will surely happen. 40000 Biahris have fled Maharashtra with horror stories of molestation, loot and abuse. These Marathi rascals had started targetting their daughters and sisters. I am sure next Thackeray goons will attack software companies and BPOs. Raj Thackeray is planning big time blood bath of Biharis in Maharashtra. Expect the unexpected. He did not mind even killing a Marathi. He can do anything. He can burn a tarain or bus full of Marathis and blame Biharis. He is thristy for Bihari blood. He thinks like Narendra Modi, by spilling Bihari blood he can become CM of Maharashtra! Bihar and Jharkhand should be ready for the worst news and be prepared to receive returning Biharis almost 2,00,00,000 from all over India. Till Raj Thackeray is alive Biharis are nowhere safe in India except Bihar.

big plan going on against Biharis by Hurt Bihari Soul on 24 Feb 2008

Can you feel the silence...in India there is big plan going on against Biharis. Raj Thackeray is very clear He hates people of Bihar because Biharis support Bihari leaders. Biharis should be alert all over India. The hate environment against them is on rise. If their daughetrs are raped in Maharashtra they should not expect that Marathi police will give them justice.

BAL THACKERAY, UDDHAV THACKERAY AND RAJ THACKERAY: STOP TALKING AND BEHAVING LIKE BUFFOONS by Ek Bharat Maa Ki Santaan on 24 Feb 2008

It’s clear these semi-literate Dehati goondas have not heard of or know anything about the doctrine of the rule of law. This doctrine, sacrosanct in any democracy, is that no individual, however powerful, is above the law. The principle had a significant influence on attempts to restrain the arbitrary use of power by rulers and politicians and on the growth of legally enforceable human rights in many Western democracies. It is this doctrine that separates legislative from judicial power. The most important application of the rule of law is the principle that governmental authority is legitimately exercised only in accordance with written, publicly disclosed laws adopted and enforced in accordance with established procedural steps that are referred to as due process. The principle is intended to be a safeguard against arbitrary governance, whether by a totalitarian leader or by mob rule. Thus, the rule of law is hostile both to dictators and to anarchists like Thackerays. All the 3 Thackerays have been educated in some Marathi medium panchayati-run village schools. Time your parents sent you to some proper schools as you need to learn all your lessons again. Let us also tell this self-proclaimed Thomas Jafferson Dada that the Indian public is in a fine fettle to teach you some very hard lessons unless you show a marked improvement in your behaviour which at present is nothing but GOONDAGIRI AND DAKUGIRI. No educated and refined person would behave the way U 3 do.

POLITICAL AND LAWLESS BUFFOONS LIKE BAL THACKERAY, UDDHAV THACKERAY AND RAJ THACKERAY MUST GO BACK TO SCHOOL TO GET SOME REFINED EDUCATION by BHARAT BHOOMIPUTRA on 24 Feb 2008

Only the other day, the machchar (insect) like Raj Thackeray was comparing and self-proclaiming himself as another Thomas Jafferson, the 3rd president of the United States who gave that nation its Constitution. From all their pronouncements and their lawless actions, all the three Thackerays have shown themselves to be total buffoons when it comes to knowing anything about law, politics, constitutional democracy, the rule of law or the powers of the three arms of any good democracy – that is the executive, the legislature and the judiciary. Therefore to counter their total illogical nonsense coming out from their dirty mouths, I am quoting just a few words of Thomas Jafferson. He had said, 1) “Let all bear in mind this sacred principle, that though the will of the majority is in all cases to prevail, that will to be rightful must be reasonable. 2) That the minority possess their equal rights, which equal law must protect 3) and to violate these equal rights of the minority would be oppression. He had also said, “Let us, then, fellow citizens, unite with one heart and one mind. Let us restore to social intercourse that harmony and affection without which liberty and even life itself are but dreary things. And let us reflect that, having banished from our land that religious intolerance under which mankind so long bled and suffered, we have yet gained little if we countenance a political intolerance as despotic, as wicked and capable of as bitter and bloody persecutions.”

Raj Thakaray by richard on 23 Feb 2008

Our attitude to our nation has made so many of our leaders to promise us a kingdom in the name of gods, jobs, languages, religion etc. that we are frightened to call ourselves Indians now. Are we so weak now in our national spirit, that we will sell our nationality to anyone who promises us jobs? Where our zeal of the forties to create an Indian Nation has disappeared? Is anyone listening?

Just Look at Bihar MLAs behaviour - Raj Thackrey by Vinay Syal on 23 Feb 2008

Why is Raj Thackeray is trying to term it as an issue related to " Maharastrian Governor " and " Bihari MLA's" and not simply Bihar Governor and Bihar MLA's. His intentions are not honest. He is trying to categorize everything on the basis of " Maharastrian " and " Non Maharstrian" , an indication of the level Raj can stoop down do to win vote bank. His thinking must be curbed decisively from spreading it's tentacles to other parts of the country. regions

To some extent it is good. Why Congress (under Italian christian woman) put so many christians as CMs, and govornors and other top positions? Three days state mourning for death of Pope or Sope, printing of Jesus Cross on Rupee Two coin and list goes on. And you want Hindus to keep mouth shut?

I am really scared when during coming 'Chhath' fasting Hindu lady will worship Surya Dev in Bambai, will those ladies be molested by Thackeray Goons. Is there no Marathi Hindu left in Maharashtra to tell these idiots abusing 'Surya Dev' on any ground is not good.
