Mumbai, February 23: Citing the unruly scenes in Bihar Assembly, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray took a dig at the Bihar MLAs and said that was the reason why he was opposed to the outsiders.

Some MLAs in Bihar created unruly scenes during the Maharashtrian Governor of Bihar R S Gavais address to the state Assembly.

"Why did I have to launch an agitation to protect the culture of Maharashtra? The answer to this question lies in the manner in which the MLAs of Bihar behaved in front of the Maharashtrian Governor of Bihar R S Gavai," Raj, who is prohibited under Magisterial orders to hold public rallies, demonstrations and give provocative statements in media, said.

Raj was refering to Bihar's Maharashtrian Governor Gavai who faced awkward moments in the state assembly when the Opposition protesting the governments ‘all round failure’ created unruly scences during his address and one member asked him to ensure safety of Biharis in Maharashtra in the face of anti-North Indian tirade by Raj Thackeray's MNS.

Raj said, "when the Bihar MLAs created ruckus in front of the Governor, the whole country was watching it. Constitutionally, the post of Governor is highly respected. In Maharashtra people have always given the dignity and respect to the Governors even though they may have difference of opinion with him on crucial issues," he said in a statement.

"For instance the Governor of Maharashtra who hails from Karnataka is Congressman. In Maharashtra one of the vexed issues has been the Maharashtra-Karnataka border issue. In this issue Krishna's stand has always been at variance with Maharashtra. But since he is the Governor of Maharashtra, he has always been given the due respect which he deserves despite even though people here may disagree with him," Raj added.

Ethical Governance by SKannath on 23 Feb 2008

Politics is a compendium of underlying ethical and non ethical issues. Those who are temperate will do something good and those who are not otherwise. It calls for good reasoning from all to those responsible towards main ethical issues, equitable distribution of wealth, free education, social and health benefits, old age pensions and employment. It is possible for India to achieve all of these and its not myth.

Raj Thackeray by Venkat on 23 Feb 2008

Media keeps this divisive politicians in limelight just to have sensationalism and ratings or sales. Politicians put up a show for them to keep them relevant somehow using phony issues since they don't have anything real. Bottom line, media and goonda politicians like Raj, MK of TN and these Bihar MLAs are just screwing the country. These bums must be made to read the sacrifices of our great leaders like Gandhi(Gujarati), Baba Amte(Great Maharashtrian who got very little press when he passed away as compared to the goon Raj)or Tagore(Bengali) the list goes on from every part of India. They also just need to look at the Punjabi soldier who defends whole of India not just Punjab in tough conditions in Himalayan border. The moment media stop patronizing these bums you will see these issues fade away and also these riff raffs.

USE PARA-MILITARY FORCES AGAINST THESE TRISHANKUS by HINDUSTAN BHOOMIPUTRA on 23 Feb 2008

It is clear from all what they have done all these years that they have created massive law and order problems which this poor nation can ill-afford because it costs millions and crores of rupees to manage the law and order situation created by their stupidity and goondagiri. If anybody obstructs any officer of the government or the law, a criminal case should be registered against him and he should be arrested. If necessary, the state and central governments should be ordered to use paramilitary forces against these goondas. It seems the Law has become an ass in the hands of such goondas. We know those who have the tendency of violating law will go to any extent but this has now gone beyond all limits and should be banished forever. It is time for the courts to order the State and Central Governments to deal with this goondagiri with an iron hand and banish these Goondas forever from the face of this land.

VINAASHA KAALE VIPAREETHA BUDDHI by No Mans Land on 23 Feb 2008

Whosoever rules the state or had ruled the state have been turning blind eye to law and order situation, this is exploited by some politicians, some of them went to extent of getting migrants from other places and populating their constituency to win, this practise although may sound legal is not ethical. The solution is not containing bacterias such as Raj thackery, you cannot contain them but rather maintaining a healthy body for the state and govt practises and rule of law to ensure law and order in state to prevent any vulnerable attacks on society due to lack of order. This is a wake up call for all state, now it is maharastrian Vs UP/Bihari's, later on and it is already on..for instance Ranvir Sena (Kshatriya;s) fighting against peasants in Bihar or sect violence on different religious/caste level etc..

STOP RAJ TRAITOR NOW OR INDIA IS DOOMED! by Agnivesh Vidyut on 23 Feb 2008

IMPOSE PROHIBITORY ORDERS ON BAL THACKERAY AND UDDHAV THACKERAY AND THEIR GOONDA CADRES TOO by BHARAT BHOOMIPUTRA on 23 Feb 2008

Public opinion all over Mumbai, Maharashtra and India is gathering momentum against the narrow-minded parochial and divisive politics of Bal Thackeray, Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray and calls are increasingly being echoed throughout the nation that the action of the State and Central Government and the police prohibiting Raj Thackeray from organizing demonstrations, rallies, processions, giving provocative statements in media, holding press conferences and shouting slogans to cause breach of peace or cause obstruction in the city should be extended to Bal Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray too. The media has been doing an excellent job having come out as the champion of our freedoms and it is also time for the judiciary, too, to show its mettle. All these three goondas - Bal Thackeray, Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray have first violated the laws and then justified their actions. They should be told that even one violation now would mean lengthy incarceration for them all and the political apparatus which depend on such goondas should also be told in no uncertain terms by the people, press, parliament and the courts that this will not be tolerated anymore. It is clear from all what they have done all these years - that they have created massive law and order problems which this poor nation can ill-afford because it costs millions and crores of rupees to manage the law and order situation created by their stupidity and goondagiri.
