Kadam claims double; HSBC paddlers supreme

Pune, March 13 HSBC ‘A’ won all but one title in the Solaris corporate table tennis championship, held recently.

In the team final, HSBC ‘A’ had an easy time against HSBC ‘B’ and won 3-0. Later in the men’s final, Vaibhav Kadam got the better of teammate Ranganath Magadi 11-4, 11-5, 11-7.

Vaibhav then went on to claim a double claiming the doubles event alongwith Abhijeet Potdar. In the final they beat Neeraj Mahajan/ Ashwin Haldankar (Axa) 11-2, 11-6, 11-9.

The only title that did not come HSBC’s way was the women’s title which was claimed by Kshipra Gogate (Hexaware). Kshipra in the summit clash got the better of Abolio Pande of Syntel in straight games 11-5, 11-3, 11-6.

RESULTS: Team, Final: HSBC ‘A’ b HSBC ‘B’ 3-0 (Ranganath Magadi b Anand Singh 9-11,11-4, 11-6, 11-6; Vaibhav Kadam b Ashutosh Pujari 11-2, 11-3, 11-5; Abhijit Potdar/ Vaibhav Kadam b Anand Singh/ Ashutosh Pujari 11-7, 11-3, 6-11, 11-6)

Men’s Singles: Vaibhav Kadam (HSBC) b Ranganath Magadi (HSBC) 11-4, 11-5, 11-7

Doubles: Vaibhav Kadam/ Abhijeet Potdar (HSBC) b Neeraj Mahajan/ Ashwin Haldankar (AXA) 11-2, 11-6, 11-9.

Women’s Singles: Kshipra Gogate (Hexaware) b Aboli Pande (Syntel) 11-5, 11-3, 11-6
