Mumbai After some flip-flop and a period of uncertainty around the release of the film, the D-day has been finalized. This Vashu Bhagnani film will now release on 1st May, around a month later than the earlier release date of 3rd April. This has been done after much deliberation as there were a couple of factors that had to be considered - a) Some of the work left in the post production of the film, b) The producers v/s multiplex revenue sharing issue.

Confirms Jackky Bhagnani, the leading man of the film, "As of now, we are 100% sure about coming on 1st May. The date has been locked and the promotion is beginning as well. We should have an audio release in next one week."

So what acted as a clincher for the final date? "We were waiting for while to get a crucial scene done at the airport which we finally did this Tuesday night. There were permissions awaited but finally things fell in place. The post production has taken a little extra time since the film requires a lot of special effects and CGI. For example, when I visualize a bomb, there are some graphics etc. involved. Now that we have been able to get the principal shoot in place, we can have the final stage of post production running and arrive on 1st May", details Jackky.

Meanwhile, the battle between the producers and multiplex owners has reached it's second stage with the former party making it very clear that come April and no new Bollywood films will be released. While ‘Kal Kissne Dekha’ was one of the first films to arrive on 3rd April, other biggies impacted would be ‘Tasveer 8X10’, ‘Shortkut - The Con Is On’, ‘Jashn’ and ‘Paying Guest’.

Says a source, "Vashuji [Bhagnani] has been with the producers association on this. Even though it's his son's launch pad, he isn't worried much about it being delayed by a while. He wants to set an example and is united in the stand of other filmmakers."

With the tussle being expected to be resolved in next few weeks, the promotion of ‘Kal Kissne Dekha’ will go ahead full steam only after the final resolution is in place.

"We are hoping for the best here", says an insider from ‘Kal Kissne Dekha’, "We are passionate about the film but not willing to bend our back. It's okay for the film to arrive a month later. We will get entire machinery in place to ensure that the film gets its due and the right market once it arrives on 1st May."
