"After Kalyan Singh gave a go ahead, Rajbir is joining the SP as a national general secretary," party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav announced.
"I have no doubts that the SP would win maximum number of seats in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. Issue of Prime Ministership would be discussed after elections. I am also sure that NDA would never come to power," Kalyan Singh said, claiming that an important political equation was shaping in the state.
The BJP leader, who had resigned from the saffron party claiming that he had been humiliated and insulted, said he would campaign for the SP whenever required in the forthcoming elections.
Singh's residence, said "unlike the previous occasion when SP had joined hands with Kalyan Singh's RKP in 2002, this time the association is without any condition.
Describing their meeting as a historic moment, the SP General Secretary said that friendship among them would not be confined to the boundaries of Uttar Pradesh.
Both the SP chief and Kalyan Singh "share a similar ideology and feelings. They were the first to raise issues of 'bahujan samaj,' which now the Bahujan Samaj Party claims to
represent," he told reporters.
Asked if he supported Mulayam Singh Yadav's candidature for the Prime Minister's post, Kalyan Singh said "Last time when we forged an alliance, I had expressed my wish that Mulayam Singh becomes the Prime Minister.
"But at this point it is not about Prime Ministership. We have joined hands to strengthen the struggle for the cause of poor, backward and farmers," he said.
Kalyan Singh said "We will take up the cause of dalits, backwards, farmers and downtrodden in the days to come. Its a friendship and not an alliance (with SP)".
Asked about any talks on seat-sharing, Singh said "dosti me ye sab baat nahi hoti" (There are no such talks in friendship).
Asked about the seat on which he would contest elections, Kalyan Singh said he had yet to decide whether to contest elections or not.
Terming Amar Singh as a pillar in the SP, Kalyan said "in Amar Singh the party has got a "Chanakya", adding the "Trimurti" (He-Mulayam and Amar) would change the political scenario in the days to come".

Let not SP speak any more of secularism after inducting Kalyan Singh, one of those responsible for the demolition of the mosque in Ayodhya. If parties are premised on ideologies, then one cannot jump from one party to another like changing one's shirt. What a mockery of democrcay? How will both Mulayam and Amar ask for muslim votes after inducting Kalyan and his son into the party? There are not many options for secularists in UP. Now it is Maya or Rahul. Maya has been tried and the elctorate needs to try Rahul.
40 odds seats that come to sp this loksabha or quite a similiar number last time wasnt coincidence. First hold the Ground and then talk about the Situation. It doesnt need to side anyone. its very disappointing to read the desperation on in my web freinds on the BJP coming to power.Lets be clear that BJP cannot bomb pakistan and make US safe.Its not that easy and the effect of a full scale war on our economy cannot be imagined.Grow up guys the security system needs to be improved and the accountability of various agencies needs to be enforced.We need a pan INDIAN regime and not one which arouses passions and brazenly encourages the violation of basic human norms to attaIN power.The present GOVT hasnt been that bad as its made out to be.MY fellow citizens must get over this bias of maligning the UPA for bieng anti majority.They have niether been pro minority nor anti majority realistically.Its just in the head.We have and will thrive as the only nation in the 3rd world were rule of law is supreme.
SP will have no hesitation in nominating Afzal Guru as well to contest for Loksabha if he also can play a role of Gandhi or any other freedom fighter in a film. Sir,BJP leader Madan Lal Khurana is either a desh drohi or a liar, because he is the one who openly accused Advani and Sushma Swaraj for having links with terrorist Dawood Ibrahim, but he was very clevery taken back by the BJP, and since then Madan has gone underground. He should come forward and explain as to why he went back to those persons whom he accused for having terrorist links. The press should ask him critical questions. BJP leaders have long decieved the entire naton with many diferent scams and the question is if any other country is paying them heavy amounts to destroy the name and fame of our Hindu Dharma and the reputation of India?
It was good that BJP got rid of Kalyan otherwise he would have done back-stabbing.

The testimony of Purohit in which he has confessed to have made the bombs of Malegaon blasts has put every BJP leader under pressure. The international community is watching the movements of Al-Qaida, LeT, Bajrang Dal, VHP and the activities of BJP followers, and therefore, these leaders will be treated like Milosovich, Mugabe or their likes, and they will not be allowed to enter foreign countries. Some of them may later be tried at the human rights commission at the Haig. These are presumably some of the reasons why BJP leaders are fleeing their BJP mothership. The BJP is now fully aware of the fact that even we Hindu's around the world are not going to support a movement such as theirs, because it has only blotted our Hindu Dharma but all Indian's all around the world. While on the other side of the globe Barack Obama brings new hope for America here in India leaders like Mulayam, Kalyan and Amar Singh are boasting of ruling UP and India. These are no LEADERS these are stupid DEALERS. Let's defeat these elements. Now Kalyan is saying he was ignored by BJP but honestly speaking this small time leader from UP became the the CM of the largest state twice from BJP, in 2007 also BJP declared him the CM candidate, he was made an MP and Party Vice-president and still he says he deserved more. Had it been any other party like DMK or he could have survived where family politics is encouraged but it was good that he left BJP. In my opinion BJP will do well in his absence as he was weakening the Party from inside.
This is height of opportunism. Kalyan Singh Jee has really lost all the moral. He ditched BJP right before elections. He did not have any problem until he was projected CM. What did he do during last state election? With what face he needs the authority to chose Loksabha candidates again ? I urge the people of my state to rise above their narrow mindset and punish every single corrupt politicians
