Chennai After the blockbuster 'Dasavatharam' in which he played a record ten roles, Tamil film mega star Kamal Hassan has come up with yet another intriguing film 'Unnai Pol Oruvan' set for release in August in which he acts as a protagonist with a 'hidden agenda' of taking on terrorists.

Kamal Hassan will be pitting his histrionic skills against Malayalam 'superstar' Mohanlal who plays the role of a cool and shrewd police officer.

The shooting of the movie is over and Director Chakri Toleti is giving final touches to the post-production work, sources close to the film unit said.

'Unnai Pol Oruvan', meaning somebody like you, is the Tamil remake of the Neeraj Pandey directed 'A Wednesday' starring Naseruddin Shah and Anupam Kher.

Hassan will play the "stupid common man," as Naseruddin Shah described himself in the Hindi movie and Lal reprises the role of Anupam Kher's Prakash Rathod, the sources said.

In the movie, unable to bear the terror attacks and government's and police apathy in dealing with them, the protagonist places bombs in parts of the city demanding that authorities release some terrorists all with a hidden motive, the sources said.

The film's trailer showing Kamal Hassan atop a building from where the protaganist 'executes' his plans to get the terrorists released, has already generated much hype.

The 'Dasavatharam' star's daughter and musician Shruti Haasan makes her debut as music director in the movie, though she had released some albums.

Director Toleti is not a new face to cinema.

Toleti, who years ago acted in Kamal Haasan's award-winning "Salangai Oli" (Saagara Sangamam in Telugu), has returned to direct the icon who recently shelved his multi-crore "Marmayogi" for want of funds, especially after troubled production house Pyramid Saimira backed off from the project.

'Unnai pol Oruvan' was initially titled "Thalaivan Irukindran," (The Leader is there) and is produced under Kamal Haasan's home banner Raj Kamal Movies.

The bi-lingual movie, titled 'Enadu' in Telugu, will see actor Venkatesh essay the character of Lal with Kamal Haasan playing the protaganist's role in the Telugu version too.
