“The situation in Kandhamal is very tense,” Chief Secretary Ajit Tripaty said adding tension escalated after killing of a Dalit belonging to the majority community.
Tripathy’s remarks came after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s statement last night that the overall situation in Kandhamal was ‘largely under the control’ though sporadic violence took place in the past three days.
The government is yet to begin a dialogue with any one, the chief minister had said adding he would like to hold discussion with all concerned people who could help in bringing peace in the district.
He said the government was closely monitoring the developments in Kandhamal. “Additional state police force has rushed to Kandhamal in the wake of fresh violence,” Patnaik said adding he had asked for 10 more companies of para-military force for Kandhamal.
According to the chief secretary, the state has so far received three advisories from the Union Home Ministry on September 6, September 19 and on Thursday asking it to ensure “that peace is maintained in Kandhamal and we are doing that."

What happened in Orissa and heppening in other part of India is purely a BJP / Sangh Parivar Ajenda. Recently a BJP leader thrown bomb to another BJP Leader to claim that ith was Christians. But luckily local Hindus were seen what happened and they informed everybody what really happened. This made to avoid of anther attacks to Christians. BJP / Sangh parivar organise and Bajrang Dal executed the killing of Swami Lakshmananda. BJP is loosing support of Hindus becaue they don't have any Ideology and they are organising criminal activities to gain support. These atrocities against Christians happened initially only in BJP ruled states. Lately BJP organised similar attacks in other states after the statement came in to the media that it was organised with the support of BJP Governments. BJP, what ever situation you create in India, still we love Hindus, because of Hindus we are happy in India. BJP Represents only less than 10% Hindus. AND HINDUS ARE OUR BROTHERS, this will stay for ever

The bias of the anti-Hindu electronic English media is evident in the hyper excited reporting of the church attack. The likes of Girish Karnad, U R Ananthamurthy and Mahesh Bhatt Teesta Shabana Azmi Barka Dutt Sardesai know which side of their bread is buttered. Their selective amnesia is amusing. Did these raise any voice in support of amaranth pilgrims protest or against durga pooja protest They never react on lakhs of Hindus being displaced from Kashmir or innumreous atrocities on hindus
India is a largest democratic, secular country in the world. Killing christians and burning houses demolishes India's image in the world. The President and Prime Minister should take immediate step to prevent the violence. RSS, Bajrangdal, Sangh Parivar should be banned immediately. Prime Minister should be more serious about the protection of minorities. All over the world minorities are well protected by the local government. If minorities or majority violence can not be tolerated. If any matter behind attack it can not be justifiable. Any body can believe any religion. Sangh Parivar can not determine it is. Only forceful conversion is not allowed. Indian constitution is allowing to believe any reiligion. In western countries anybody can believe any religion. Nobody is bothered about. I feel in India the situation is very dangerous. This situation will continue, people will kill each other. Nobody will achieve anything. Country will go behind the 10th century.
SAD TO SAY THERE CAN ONLY BE PEACE ONCE THE PEOPLE WHO MURDERED THE SWAMI ARE APPREHENDED. I DO NOT BLAME THE MAJORITY COMMUNITY. IN FACT THEY WILL BE HELPING THE GENUINE NON VIOLENT CHRISTIANS IF THEY ARE ABLE TO NAB THE KILLERS. THESE KILLERS ARE MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT FOR THE CHRISTIANS IN INDIA LET ALONE ORISSA.CHRIST HAS NO PLACE FOR KILLERS.THIS TIME I AM AFRAID THE MAJORITY HAS THE WILLPOWER AND CONTINUE THE STRUGGLE UNTIL THE KILLERS ARE APPREHENDED. IN FACT WE THE CHRISTIANS SHOULD TURN OVER THE KILLERS TO THE GOVERNMENT.WE ARE MISTAKEN IF WE CAN COUNT ON FOREIGN HELP AND EVEN THAN WE CANNOT STOP THE MAJORITY COMMUNITY FROM SEEKING JUSTICE.
