New Delhi, January 18 It was a scene straight out of Bollywood: elaborate set, beautiful people, music, dance and emotions. And directing each move was none other that the much sought after director, Karan Johar himself. For the first time, Karan was in Delhi University today to find the Flirt King and the Flirt Queen of the year among the students in a festival organised by Delhi University Students Union, MTV and the coffee manufacturing company Bru.

Boys cheered and girls swooned as the man appeared in a black leather jacket, blue jeans and dark shades, looking very much like a star. Karan Johar was at his wittiest best as he entertained the crowd with one liners and jokes for more than three hours. "Both romance and coffee has to be brewed well for the right combination," Karan said.

Twenty boys and girls from various colleges participated in the contest that had four rounds of tests. Finally, Ranjit Singh from National Institute of Fashion Designing and Shilpa from Ramjas College were selected for their talent, charm and wit. Accompanying Karan in the selection was MTV VJ Nikhil Chinnappa, who hosted the contest with equal élan.

However, the crowning moment of festival was reserved for the end when Karan and Nikhil joined the contestants in dancing to the tunes of Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. "I am having a gala time and the boys and girls are all fantastic," Karan screamed.

Later, Karan gave tips on flirting. "Always be original and steer clear of clichés if you want to be a good flirt," he said. When asked about his romantic swings and marriage plans, Karan said, "I am intelligent and so I am single". However, Karan confirmed once again that he wants to be a father. "I have had very nice parents and a very nice childhood. I want to give the same to a child," he said.
