Srinagar After long winter vacation all the schools in Kashmir Valley reopened on Monday morning. Following the opening of schools, traffic officials had imposed restrictions on the city roads and imposed restriction on the entry of heavy vehicles in Srinagar.

On Monday morning after remaining closed for more than two months, all educational institutions in the Kashmir valley reopened. Officials, however, said that schools in Kargil district will remain closed up to March 10 due to the heavy snowfall in the region. All the educational institutions were closed in the first week of December last year following heavy snowfall.

SSP Traffic said that in view of the opening of schools there will be restriction on the entry of heavy vehicular movement in the city Srinagar beyond the timing as prescribed under the directions of the J-K High Court. The officer said that any violator will be dealt strictly under rules.
