Nahan, January 25 The kidnapped member of Nahan Block Development Committee (BDC) Sunita Devi appeared before the police station incharge Nahan today. She alleged that she had given her previous statement under the pressure of Congress leaders.

She further alleged that she had been kept with other Congress leaders, while on a pilgrimage in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Sunita alleged that this was done at the behest of Congress leaders including the Chairman Block Development Committee Nahan Yash Pal Sharma and others.

She alleged that the Congress leaders had got her signatures under pressure that she was living with other four woman BDC members at a safe place. Today, she claimed that she was not safe, and was constantly in a state of terror.

Sunita urged the CM to take action against the police officials who allegedly joined hands with the Congress leaders for shielding the chairman and others. She alleged that police had accepted false information about her that she was safe at an unknown place, despite the fact that her husband Ramesh Kumar had registered a case of kidnapping.

Sunita Devi’s husband, Ramesh Kumar, had registered a kidnapping case against Chairman Yash Pal Sharma on December 18. Some Congress leaders later submitted a letter written by five BDC women members to SP Nahan, that all the women, including Sunita Devi, were safe somewhere in Nahan area.
