Madhu koda

Ranchi Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda, against whom the Enforcement Directorate and the Income Tax Department are investigating money laundering charges, will not be discharged from hospital on Saturday as he had a stomach upset.

"The doctors will take a decision tomorrow or the day after about his discharge," Public Relations officer of the Abdur Razzak Weavers Memorial Hospital, Javed Akhtar said.

Koda got himself admitted to the hospital on complaints of stomach pain on November three after the launch of Income Tax raids on his residence in connection with alleged hawala transactions and illegal investments amounting to Rs 2000 crore.

The Enforcement Directorate and the Income Tax department have instructed the hospital to inform them before his discharge.

A close aide of Koda, Vikas Sinha, was arrested in connection with the case on Friday.

Corruption continues by Saumen Sengupta on 09 Nov 2009

Because justice and judiciary are taken advantage of people like Koda remains untouched. Imagine how many Kodas are there right now amassing fortune at a full swing! In India, we still believe in miracles that one day, some day, India will emerge clean out of this filth even if we don't do anything to stop such nonsense. We can't progress as long as parasites like Koda syphon off our money, properties and land using their power. But when a judiciary itself is tainted (being unable to declare and defend their asset) Kodas are manufactured daily.

Slap in the face by Mathew on 07 Nov 2009

Each single day that passes with people like Koda enjoying the luxuries they have availed themselves by stealing from millions of poor, is a slap on the face of the citizens of this country and its democratic institutions. Corrupt politicians should be flogged and hanged high and neat in public.

Apollo ka chor by Apollo on 07 Nov 2009

Why is it that whenever a politician or celebrity gets caught doing something wrong they head to a hospital. And not just any hospital - they head to the pretigious, high end and what not APOLLO! Be it Sibu Soren, Be it Rahul Mahajan , Apollo is always there to lend a helping hand to those in need - doesn't matter if you're really ill or not. I wonder when will the day come when Mr. Reddy of Apollo hospital is booked himself for abetting all those who are born criminals.
