New Delhi A college student from Kolkata emerged as the "Extreme Manchester United Fan" which earned him a trip to Old Trafford.

Sugata Mukherjee, a 21-year-old college student, won the contest which was open to individuals between the age group of 15 to 25 years and hosted on nikefootball.in.

The contest that began in September last year challenged all fans in India to prove in five photographs or less why he/she is the biggest Manchester United fan ever.

Sugata thus booked himself an all-expense paid trip to Old Trafford stadium in Manchester to watch a Manchester United game, visit the team's legendary training ground at Carrington and undertake an Old Trafford Museum Tour, Sanjay Gangopadhyay, Marketing Director of Nike India Pvt. Ltd said.

Thrilled to have won the contest, Sugata said, "I hail from a middle class Bengali family and could only dream of visiting Old Trafford. But now, I am going to live my dream, thanks to Nike.

"Honestly, I started watching matches involving Manchester United because I am a huge fan of David Beckham. But gradually, I fell in love with the club, after learning about the rich history of the club. A major portion of my passion for the club revolves around Sir Alex Ferguson. I am at awe with the kind of dedication he has for the club, being the boss for almost 23 long years," he added.
