New Delhi, October 6: The decision by the JD-S not to hand over power to the BJP is the "worst ever betrayal" by a political party in the country, a senior BJP leader said on Saturday.

"This is the worst ever betrayal by any political party in the country. People of Karnataka will not excuse these betrayers and they will be taught a fitting lesson," said the BJP vice president Venkaiah Naidu.

The saffron party decided to pull out of the 20-month-old Kumaraswamy government in the state after the JD(S) refused to transfer power to it.
