Sometimes it is not the occasion but the company that makes a meal or an outing special. My last dinner with Kabir at a pavement café in Paris is etched in my memory. I will remember it as long as I possibly can. It was a simple café, frequented by a lot of regulars. We had to choose from 21 varieties of cheese. We ordered a smorgasbord - a buffet meal of various hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, salads, casserole dishes, meats and cheeses. We also asked for two bottles of French wine and plenty of French bread which is rated very highly among varieties of bread. Kabir and I sat there, talking, for four hours. The café was buzzing with people. It was a no-frills place but by the end of our meal and conversation, Kabir and I were definitely happy, and high.
