Ludhiana, March 1 Ludhiana Management Association organized a lecture meeting under the Women’s Forum, for its members and guests, especially women.

Dr KNS Kang, General Secretary LMA, welcomed the members, guests and the speaker. Neera Gupta, Chairperson of the Women Forum, introduced the topic to the audience.

She said that for centuries, it has been a great challenge for women across the world to break free of the various constraints, and set their own mark in society. She gave the example of Indra Nooyi of Pepsico, Naina Lal Kidwai of HSBC and many other women, who have reached the heights of success at global level.

Addressing the audience, Anupama Arya spoke of the entrepreneurial challenges she faced in her business ventures. She remarked that women have similar capabilities like men, and need bold initiative and self-confidence to start their ventures. She admitted that women face family and social challenges, but can overcome them if they are supported by their family and husband.

She urged the women entrepreneurs to concentrate on making the right choices and fixing their priorities, while competing and taking on business initiatives. Anupama stressed that academic qualification can contribute much in creating a successful organization. Hence, women must focus on taking relevant and desirable qualification for achieving their dreams and competing in a globally competitive world.
