LTTE suicide pilots glorified in Toronto

Toronto Tamils living in Toronto have glorified two LTTE rebels killed during a recent suicide attack in the Sri Lankan capital. Toronto police filmed the event as the LTTE flag was raised and several hundred people laid flowers at a makeshift shrine to pay homage to the dead guerrillas.

But, the officials did not interrupt the event and left after an hour.

Police have been trying to clamp down on pro-Tamil Tigers functions around the city ever since the group was added to Canada's list of outlawed terrorist organisations. Spokesperson for Jason Kenney, the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism, called the event "deeply disturbing".

"Without reservation, without hesitation we condemn the glorification of terrorists like the Tamil Tigers," he said.

The duo Tigers died on Feb 20, as they were piloting two planes laden with 200 kilograms of explosives to Colombo. One struck the government tax office while the other one was shot down outside the city.

The Tamil Tigers later said they were targeting the Sri Lankan Air Force headquarters and released a suicide letter in which one of the pilots said he felt "privileged and proud" to take part in the attack so that he could "earn respect for my people and my homeland".

Terrorist supporters, Canada by P LSelva Mani on 18 Mar 2009

Canada is fast becoming the Pakistan of the Western World A few months ago Canada played host to a massive procession to tha Khalistani Trecherous Heathen with members of Canadian Parliment like Herb Dhaliwal joining in the procession which was mouthing a lot of secssionist slogans and hatred agaionst India. It has become a fashionable thing to permit terrorist not onlt seek asylum in these countries but also turn a blind eye against their activities.Nowif we go by the Ghoulish logic ofthe Canadian scum , they will tell you that as long as no crime is committed in Canada it is Okay. This would in effect mean that Hitler could have emigreated to Canada after his defeat at the end of World War II since he did not commit any crime in Canada. Shame on you, you trecherous Canadians. When the UN has declared the LTTE as a terrorist organisation it is really unthinkablethat Canada should permiot such a organisation

LTTE terrorist supporters should be shot by Venkat on 18 Mar 2009

Canada should first change its immigration policies - like stop giving asylum to terrorist supporter tamils.... These terrorist supporters either should not be let into the country or should be shot if found supporting terrorist ideologies. Freedom of speech has its limits.
