London First it was pop star Jennifer Lopez who tripped over while singing at the American Music Awards, and now Lady GaGa has taken a fall.

The 'Poker Face' singer kicked off her Monster Ball tour in Montreal but as she launched into the song 'Teeth', she landed on her posterior, Daily Mail online reported.

The singer was performing the track for the first time ever but as she kicked into the dance routine, dressed in a leotard and high ankle boots, she lost her footing. She tumbled heavily on to her derriere while one of her dancers came to her aid.

Gaga soon straightened up and picked the choreography where she left off. But then again she tripped over her stilettos two minutes into her dance routine.

"I'm like a drunk supermodel - and I love it!," she told the audience.

The show is part of GaGa's world tour to promote 'The Fame Monster', her follow-up to album 'Fame'.

The 23-year-old star is taking the show through the US in December and January, the UK in February followed by Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, Japan and France.

Just four days earlier, Lopez landed on her behind after jumping off a dancer's back and slipping as she landed at the stage at American Music Awards in Los Angeles, however the star later said that the fall was a part of the act.
