Islamabad A Pakistani minister accused India of being behind the attack on Sri Lanka's cricket team in the city of Lahore on Tuesday, saying the attackers had crossed into Pakistan from India.

"The evidence which we have got shows that these terrorists entered from across the border from India," Sardar Nabil Ahmed Gabol, Minister of State for Shipping, told private Geo television. "This was a conspiracy to defame Pakistan internationally."

"This incident took place in reaction to 26/11," he said referring to the Mumbai attacks in November in which at least 170 people were killed. "It is a declaration of open war on Pakistan by India," said the minister, who is not one of the government's official spokesmen, but belongs to President Asif Ali Zardari's party.

Isolate supporters of terrorism by Dr B Sundara on 04 Mar 2009

There is no use of these blame games. It is better if authorities concerned in both the countries and the international community get into the bottom of the issue of terrorism and try to get rid of this menace once and for all. But unfortunately leaders do not appear to grow taller. Now is the time to make an all out effort, a sincere effort to end terrorism. One method that should help curb terrorist activity would be to isolate everyone connected directly or indirectly with it. It is not clear whether the world leaders and leaders of the nations affected by terrorism are truly intersted to end terrorism or using it as means to further their individual agenda. If there is a genuine interest , then there should be a way to eradicate it. The UNO- an organization charged with the duty of keeping peace in the world should become more involved in solving the problem of terrorism.

Is this pak minister a fool. He cannot change the perception of world about India or Pak with a statement which is nothing but a bluff.Today, the world is watching Pak very closely. This minister as well as entire PAK should be aware of this fact.

Mr. Pak Minister , I often talk if you really try to take care of terrorist activities of your country as long as you spend on accusing India then your intelligence and technologies truly suffers. You need to wake up and face the truth your intelligence and technologies are so weak your country needs a strong nation on their side to treat you people as a baby seater . SHAME ON YOU.

Repay Pak in its own coin by Shubhang Pandya on 04 Mar 2009

India should do all to prove this Minister's apprehension right, by inflicting terror on Pakistan. Covert operations, suspended due to some stupid Pak lovers and Wagha-border candlelighter dimwits (or, headless chicken, a delightful term courtesy our US ambassador), should be restarted.

Don;t trust these Guys by Swapan Chakravarthy on 04 Mar 2009

Yesterday many were synpathetic to ordeal Pak was going. Yesterday I did say in my comments that they deserved it. Now none of us should be surprised if the ISI did not engineer the whole event. Mind you they have not arrested the perpetrators of the crime.

Snap Ties with Pakistan by Dr.M.M.Tiwari,Raipur on 04 Mar 2009

This is the habit of Pakistani politicians and "official" to make false statements to divert the attention of International community. But it has now been proved that Pakistan has no control over terrorists. This is known globally that terrorists are allowed to use. Pakistan's soil to breed the Terrorists. In fact Pakistan is Paradise for Terrorists where they move quite freely and operate their activities very safely. In view of such false statements that attackers on Srilanka cricket team entered from India our Govt. should break all the diplomatic relations with Pakistan immediately.

Lahore attacks by Ashutosh Agarwal on 04 Mar 2009

Dear Minister of State for Shipping, India has been trying to send a message to Pakistani government that a number of Pakistani terrorists' training camps are being operated in India bu your government would not listen. So you seem to have got it right that those terrorists entered Pakistan from India but forgot to mention that after being trained in Pakistani terrorists run camps in India!

TERRORIST ENTER FROM INDIA IS A SILLY STATEMENT by SANDEEP SHETTY on 04 Mar 2009

THEY HAVE DONE IT AGAIN.THIS ATTACK ON SRI LANKAN CRICKTERS I THINK THIS IS STATE SPONSERED, PAKSIATNI ISI MIGHT HAVE PLANED THIS ATTACK TO DIVERD THE ATTENTION FROM MUMBAI ATTACK INVESTIGATION BY BLAMNING ON INDIA.NOT EVEN A NEW BORN CHILD WILL BELIVE THERE STATEMENT THAT THIS TERRORIST'S HAVE COME ACCROSS FROM INDIAN BORDER. THIS IS RIDICULOUSLY SILLY. PAKISTAN IS THE BIRTH PLACE OF TERRORISM.

trained in pakistan by praveer on 04 Mar 2009

may be,they can be from any part of world but trained in pakistan only. All infrastructural support and planning, organising executing done in pakistan only. May be this is the reason none of them got killed or even injured even after 25 mts of crossfiring which resulted in 4/5 deaths of policemen. If they were indian they would have prefered pak players for this special treatment.

Seeeing on a daily basis how much poison runs through the veins of the educated elite of the country- people in IT, NRIs,I really feel ashamed and fear for the future of the country.A country where the likes of Purohit and Modi are garlanded on a daily basis and people who are hell bent upon tarnishing the secular fabric of this country are ever increasing, it is hard to say whether we are any better than the Pakis. It is understandable that uneducated and undereducated talk the langauage of hatred. However, to see the educated elite dive in the ocean of hatred and jealosy, is heart-breaking.

Reality Check by rahul on 04 Mar 2009

hahaha.... even indian terrorist will think twice before crossing boarder to attack in pakistan... all evidence are at place and in the hand of pakistan authorities but not a single terrorist is captured or killed as yet...Ohh i forgot.. Pakistani leaders are stupid or too cunning? by gary on 04 Mar 2009

I fail to understand the mental level of Pakistani leaders. They really need some psych therapy? A country full of Jihadis blaming a peaceful country like India? just to deflect wprld attention or pakistanis are trying to fool themselves? World know that the terrorists hub is in pakistan, as always before. Pakistani leaders are either too foolish or trying to fool themselves by issuing contradictory statements?

Attack on SL team by C. Mehta on 04 Mar 2009

Sardar Nabil Ahmed Gabol, Minister of State for Shipping, are you ashamed of anything going in your country? Is there any thing more to defame your country? If this gives you pleasure blaming India for this attack, there is nothing in the world which will make you self responsiblle. Kudos to SL players who came to your country but just like a bad host, you sent them home hungry. May hunger be with your country for ever.

Attack on SL Players by RS on 04 Mar 2009

Sardar Nabil Ahmad Gabol. Just wake up.Pakistan has become a place where hand granades, AK47s, rocket launchers are sold in the market at 2 rupees a kilo where as aloos are sold 200 rupees a kilo. It has become a dangerous place for not only you but also the rest of the world. So you will have to digest your own aloo chat of terrorism which you designed for India and the world. It is true that that those who dig a pit for others themselves fall into it. You created terrorism for the world, opened terrorist training camps in your territory against India and the rest of the world. Look what you have got in return; international isolation, the title of a terrorist country, a very poor future for your country. "Bure kam ke bure natije"Your country is in the danger of taken over by Taliban starting with Karachi. Best of Luck to you and other characters like you.
