The book Janata Enigma 30 out of 60 penned by a journalist-turned-author Kumar Rajesh released in New Delhi on Sunday lists the probable candidates for prime ministerial posts in next 20 years.
The book also foresee that the future non-Congress governments would not be headed by any ex-Congressman.
"Analysing the past 30 years of coalition politics, one can say that from now on, none of the non-Congress governments would be headed by any ex-Congressman as it has been in the previous cases," said the author Kumar Rajesh.
"Not any of the non-Congress government after the emergency period completed its full term of five years except the BJP government led by Atal Behari Vajpayee," the author observed citing the reason as "Vajpayee's non-Congress background."
The other probable names for Prime Minister's post in the coming two decades mentioned in the book includes Mulayam Singh Yadav, Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley, M K Stalin, Narendra Modi, Nitish Kumar, Prakash Karat, Sitaram Yechuri, Sushma Swaraj, Ramvilas Paswan and Sharad Yadav.
"This list in not exhaustive and does not include names from the Congress or of ex-Congressmen," says the author in the preface of the book.
The author, who claimed to have done exhaustive research before writing the book, said the book recollects all the significant political events during the past thirty years.
"For those who want to understand politics, my book has every details of all the elections from 1952 to 2004 in the country. Basically, it is an effort to make politics easy and interesting for the readers," said Rajesh who has also included interviews of several erstwhile veterans in the book.
Former Prime Minister I K Gujaral, while releasing the book said, "it has an interesting recalling of the period of the Indian politics."
The foreword of the book has been written by the former law minister Shanti Bhushan.
The function was attended by several politicians including BJP President Rajnath Singh, NDA Convener George Fernandese, Rural Development Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh and Shanti Bhushan.

Why not if a person like manmohan singh can work under sonia's peticoat these books can name any tom, dick and harry. Its laughable if you name lalu and Mayawati both are booked for corruption.
What about Jaya. She is the MOST corrupt with 28 cases proved against her. Equally uneducated as she studied only up to 10th grade..
The top three in the probable list for future PM's of India is intersesting. Can anyone guess what is common between them? For those who cannot guess here is the answer: Serious cases of corruption are pending against them. Two of them have to even resign their CM posts on account of the scams. Of course, the cases go on. They will go on even after all of them become PM's in succession.
Jayalitha is not DMK leader , She is of ADMK.. Pls maintain your standard Indian Express..
It is sad that low calibre people such as Laloo, Maya
What about Jaya, the worst of worst caliber woman in the world?
Please! please! Do not consider them low caliber people. See the railways turn around. Look at Maya's revolutionary all inclusive approach to politics. She included lots of high caste people in her party/government which the BJP is unable to replicate so far.
All these three mentioned above are dregs of the Indian society and most corrupt politicians.None of them deserves to be what he/she has already manuplated to achieve.I don't think if anyone out them will have another 20 to 30 years to live. Moreover in India incoming decade there will be drastic change in Indian mentality and polity which will refuse to accept imprudent oldies as leaders of the Nation. The other names mentioned can be simply forgotten with the exception of RajNathSingh,Arun Jaitley,Narendra Modi and Sushma Swaraj. All authors claim to have done exhaustive research and sincerely exlicit in their work.Authors like Gujral either borrow the stuff from others or simply take help of some matured but unknown writers and publish the socalled books under their names.Nothing but business and an act of keeping alive in media, perhaps to gain some popularity!
In a feudal political structure only select few come in the category for the PM post. In a functional democracies as in Scandinavian system, anyone qualified can become PM, once proved their merit.
Exhaustive research... I can also add all the name and create one list. and that to without "exhaustive research".
I knew Karunanidhi is in succession planning mode and after the Birla-Lodha case, anything is possible in the secretive world of wills. But to imagine Jaya being nominated as DMK leader by Karuna is taking Karuna's senility too seriously. Despite his dementia and general lack of cognizance attributed to the aging process, expecting Karuna to do something like this is almost like saying - "No more Bloopers from Mr. Bush"
india is great. other name for India is bharatmata.like mother accepts a mentally retarded child happily,we indias accepts any body happily let him be a foreign PM.there is nothing great in this.
Jayalalitha is not a DMK leader, she is an ADMK Leader. Correct your article.
Sir,After Half-wiited Devegowda and political lightweights Gujral and Manmohan Anybody in Independent India can hope for The PM's post.
