Patna RJD chief Lalu Prasad's plan to script his memoir on the circumstances leading to BJP leader LK Advani's arrest during rath yatra, has generated reaction with his adversaries suggesting the former to concentrate on his work only.

"We should talk of Bihar's development now and take up with the Centre our demand for according special state status to Bihar refraining from petty politics", said JD(U) national spokesman Shivanand Tiwari on Wednesday.

"It will be better if Prasad concentrates on his work instead of engaging in an exercise which will be a futile one", Tiwari said.

"It is not a new chapter... the matter has become very old and Prasad has spoken of writing a book on the rath yatra episode on several occasions in the past", the JD(U) leader said.

Addressing Pasmanda Muslim Conference here on Monday, Lalu spelt out his plans to script a book on the incidents leading to the demolition of Babri Mosque in 1992.

Prasad, who has an LLB degree, had said, that he had to face a hard time in tackling the situation arising out of the demolition when he was Chief Minister of Bihar.

"I had to bear tremendous pressure from several bigwigs in executing my decision to arrest L K Advani during his 'Rath Yatra' in Bihar before the demolition," he said.

Even RJD insiders and some close aides of Prasad, on the condition of anonymity, believe Lalu's plan will boomerang on him as he was in a state of "dilemma" on the issue of stopping Advani's rath yatra and getting the BJP leader arrested when he was chief minister.

"Prasad, who emerged as one playing an anti-communal card, had once disagreed to our sugegstions to get Advani's rath stopped in Dhanbad, now now in Jharkhand, before it reached North Bihar to avoid communal problems", they claim.

Prasad was Bihar's Chief Minister at that time. "The former Chief Minister (Prasad) buckled under pressure from a group of people who were his political mentors who prevailed upon him to take the extreme step of stopping the rath yatra and arresting Advani to dump the latter at a guest house at Masanjore hill in Jharkhand", a senior RJD leader confides.

"And then Lalu's luck shone as he acquired the stature of an important leader in state and national politics", he says.

Earlier, Prasad had also spoken of penning a book about "involving him in false and forged" cases related to the multi-crore rupees fodder scam in which he had already been chargesheeted.

It's all political stunt. by Qadeer on 28 Oct 2009

The champion of all scams, who was completely rejected by the great people of Bihar in 2009 Lok Sabha election. Instead of writting book on Advani, he should disclose his tricks of greatest scams and his disproportionate assets. People of Bihar and India are no longer fool to understand this type of political stunt when the assembly election in Bihar is due in 2010.It is all ill-act of media, who hiped this corrupt politician to a height, which he never deserved. Laloo should know that people of Bihar have not yet forgot his misrule in the state. By this time people of the state have learnt many more things about these leaders. So, jokes of secularism alone can not give victory to election, there are issues of development. His song of pseudo-secularism can not feed the poor and hungry people. Any way all the best to Writer Laloo, try once. But this is a very old and outdated song, which now-a-days nobody likes.

Laluu's Memoirs---- by romesh.sharma on 28 Oct 2009

If atall he can write something he should start with writing the truth how he made so much of money and mamaged so many assets. He is master of corruption and the tricks and frauds will be widely read if published truely and sincerly.People love to read evil things more than virtuous. He is most abominable, loathsome and disgusting figure of Indian polity.Come on Lalu start with first bribe when you took few hundred Rs to give a poor man primary teacher's job.To write about a person is far beyond your intellect(only if you have some)and what to talk of Advani.

Laloo's Book on Advani Arrest by Rajesh Vyas on 28 Oct 2009

The rejected Bihari leader (I WOULD REFUSE TO ACCEPT HIM AS MY LEADER) wants to be in limelight by scoring Brownie Points with Ms. Sonia Gandhi. Advani's arrest was ordered by V P SINGH, this man only obeyed his orders. There was nothing original on Laloo's part in the arrest. The arrest was no big deal anyway!!!! The Congress should keep this man away. He is desperate for a Cabinet Birth. He should be avoided at all costs. In fact, his tenure as Railway Minister should be scrutinized minutely for acts of Omission and of Course COMMISSION (PUN INTENDED).

My Dear NRI---You are asking too much from the ever hypocritical Indian Politicians whose only objective is to loot our poor country. Do not accept any action against this fodder scammer. He will go away SCOTFREE and traet the ordinary AAM AADMI of Congress party with impunity. These pathetic people (AS DESCRIBED BY YOU) will continue to loot and ruin this country further. The Congress has given tascit support to this fodder scammer.

ALSO ADD by Pushkar on 28 Oct 2009

Also add the UTI scam, petrol pump applotment scam, scandalous sale of balco and Centaur, Tehelka scam, Bangaru and Judev caught on camera accepting bribe, MPLAD scam, cash for question scam, Telecom scams of Pramod Mahajan and Company, Sugar scam, Urea scam, Ketan Parekh stock scam etc. etc. Sure, all these scams need to be investigated and the law must take its course and punish the wrong doers. Unfortunately, those who indulged in scams are hailed as patriots by a few Sangh wallahs.
