I Was in Sri Lanka recently for a photo shoot. After we packed up for the day, the entire team was hungry as a pack of wolves. Some model friends and I headed to the Trans Asia Hotel as we wanted to party and dine in style. It was totally exotic with low wooden seats. The ambience was lovely and absolutely comfortable. The waitresses were dressed in saris, which were draped in a different way unlike the way we wear saris in India. The men wore a dhoti, blazer and a bandana. Their outfits made an interesting watch as they served us.
The menu was extensive and the cuisine was exquisitely Thai. We were served crab curry and pot rice. I had never eaten crab before and though it was the first time I tasted it, I loved it. The food was fabulous and we had some great red wine too.
