Lawson in his report on the recent one-day home series against Zimbabwe complained to the board that he was not consulted in the finalisation of squad by the national selection committee.
The former Australian pacer complained that although the board had said the selectors needed to consult the captain and coach, he was not made party to the procedure.
"Lawson and Salahuddin will be asked about this issue and also to outline their future plans for the Pakistan team and reserve players," a PCB source stated.
The source said the governing body members were also concerned about the influx of national team and bench players into the cash-rich Indian Premier League and the rebel Indian Cricket League in India.
"Some of the members want to have a clear definition of how the board will deal with situations where players who are signed up for the IPL are required for the national team as well as the private league," he said.
