Melbourne, January 22: Stylish Indian middle order batsman VVS Laxman, a known nemesis of Australia cricket team, is aiming at upsetting the hosts yet again, when the two sides face-off in fourth and final Test at Adelaide from Thursday.

Laxman, who hit an epic innings of 281 to wreck Aussies in Kolkata in 2001, was again instrumental in the Indian win at the Perth last week by scoring a crucial 79-run knock.

"It was very satisfying to do that again. We came here hoping to win the series. That was the most important thing.

We can't do that now, unfortunately, but we can level it in Adelaide," Laxman said.

"That 281 I will never forget, but this is also a fantastic result," he was quoted as saying by The Age. Laxman said beating Australia in their own backyard for the second time in a series would help Indian cricket.

"Adelaide is a very important game for us. To win twice in Australia and level the series would be very good for Indian cricket," he said.

Laxman also praised R P Singh with whom he set a partnership to snap Australia's 16-match winning streak and preventing it from claiming the record 17th consecutive Test victory, for the second time in the history.

"The partnership with RP Singh was really important. The way he played the quicks, especially Brett Lee, was excellent, and it was a really important part of the victory. He played a major role," he said.

Laxman, who scored 303 runs at 50.50 in the ongoing series so far, will return home next week after he was left out of the ODI squad for the next month's triangular one-day series here.
