New Delhi, July 23: The Left, UNPA and BSP on Wednesday said they will launch a nation-wide campaign against the UPA government on nuclear deal, price rise and agrarian issues and described the trust vote win in Lok Sabha as "immoral".

"The UPA government might be patting itself for whatever happened yesterday. But at the same time, it is the defeat of the democracy," BSP supremo Mayawati told a press conference after a breakfast meeting with leaders of Left parties, TDP, TRS, RLD and JD(S) among others.

Reading out from the statement adopted at the meeting, CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat said that the "UPA government may have won the vote in the Lok Sabha yesterday but has lost the trust of the nation in the immoral manner in which it has engineered this win.

"The Manmohan Singh government has lost its moral authority. All the political parties present decided to launch a national level campaign on pressing issues before the people," Karat said.

The statement was adopted by leaders of ten parties -- BSP, TDP, Forward Bloc, RSP, Janata Dal (S), RLD, IMLD, JVM, CPI and CPI(M).

The campaign will be launched against price rise, inflation, agrarian crisis leading to farmers suicides, Karat said.

"We are also against Indo-US nuclear deal, against communal forces, against gross misuse of government institutions like CBI," the CPI(M) leader said.

All India agitation by Left by Musafir on 23 Jul 2008

The left always launches their agitations but they all end up as bundhs in West Bengal and Kerala. The rest of the country takes no notice. The communists should realise their limitations as a regional party.

PM Candidate by Shafeeq on 23 Jul 2008

I am not a communist and accept that communism in another country is in dustbin. But that wont made us to oppose Mr. Karat's stand on Nuclear deal. Please view the matter in a broadway as a neutral. Let me ask people who support Mr.Manmohan know that is this deal ?. It is a deal of 100 Billion USD. A way to make money for US corporate and its 10% commission ie 32000 crore rupees to Anil Ambani, Amar Sing and congress allie.. U guys see the history wherever America entered with help in face has turned out as big tragedy for the host. See Afghan, Iraq, ME countries.. every where. We are not against neuclear energy. What about IRAN-India piple line project ?. If Rahul and Manmohan is really concerned about Fuel and energy why didnt they take up that project in front ?. PM candidate is another issue.. No PM has ever ruled India with our expectation.. If it is Manmohan, Vajpaei, Rajiv... LK advani or Rahul wont be different. WE NEED SADDAM HUSSAIN..

Karat and his henchmen, have now been rendered insignificant and inconsequential, they are full of piss and wind and are frothing at the mouth because they have finally realised that their citadel of poerr and sleaze has collapsed like fake house of cards. The voters will kick their arse in the coming Genearl Elections,be rest assured.WE will expose their discredited and fraudulent ideology. Instead of making a speactacle and ass of yourself,go and get a job and do an honest days of work, like the poor daily wage earners.Morons and idiots.

Who will be PM candidate ? by Thomas on 23 Jul 2008

First you decide who would be your PM candidate. One suggestion is to have a music chair between Deva Gowda, Mayavathi, Naidu, Ajit Singh, Jayalalitha and Chauthala. All of them are self declared PMs. This is going to be another Chaos like the one we experienced between Dev Gowda, Congress and BJP. So sad that India is ruled by a group of Morans. Let's wait and watch.

These idiots have still not learnt the lesson. Communist guys will never infact. But why the hell are the other guys joining these blind ones? Headed by the most crooked Mayawathi, they will surely ditch the people if voted to power. Hope it doesnt happen. Younger generation like Rahul has to rise.

three distinct groups in politics by v.seshadri on 23 Jul 2008

There are now 3 distinct groups in politics in india: i). sonia's churchian group; ii). bjp's hinduist group; iii). the islamist group, hiding as saleem under karat, siddiqui with maaayaavati now shifted away from mulayam, ktka moslems under the gaudas, AP moslems under naidu. Let them fight it out. Whichever group can really serve the country as a whole will win. Those who place their party or their religion above the country's overall interest will lose out eventually. Bhaarat maataa ki jai!

naive by htyu on 23 Jul 2008

is it not a stupid comment???

three distinct funding sources by v.seshadri on 23 Jul 2008

The reason for the three distinct groups, as above, in india's politics today, is that politics requires large-scale funding. While the catholic and other churches fund the churchian congress under sonia, the RSS/VHP/BJP get some funds from mostly hinduist indian diaspora and traders, industrialists in india and abroad; the islamist groups get their funds from oil-rich islamic middle-eatern countries like iran, saudi arabia. Hence the communist [islamist] obsession for iran-pak gas rather than nuclear power as the base for india's energy future.

leaders by rt on 23 Jul 2008

The collection of the filthiest and most hateful 'leaders' of this suicidal country.

Devegowda kaa jawab nahin ... by Baatul on 23 Jul 2008

Devegowda obviously has jumped off the boat. He thinks he's very astute and is keeping his options open to join hands with Congress in Karnataka to topple the BJP govt. Good politics sir !!!
