The Tibetan spiritual leader, who is here in connection with a meditation workshop, said he was appealing to his "friends" across the world to express concern over Tibet.
"One thing I want to express is that it is the time for the Chinese Government or the officials concerned to accept the reality. That is more important," he told reporters in New Delhi.
"In any case, we are in the 21st century... our lies cannot work," the Dalai Lama said.
His comments come in the backdrop of persistent accusations by China that he had "masterminded" the recent violence in Tibet despite his denials.
On Saturday, the Dalai Lama will lead a prayer meeting in Rajghat, the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, in memory of all those who have lost their lives during the recent unrest in Tibet.

RatingWhen China repeatedly accuses the Dalai Lama of causing problems, it only shows that if one repeats the same lie over and over, people begin to believe that this is the truth. China is a cancer that has first metastasized into the USA. Everything sold in the USA is made in China, which holds enormous amount of US dollars. China uses this money to support genocidal regimes in Myanmar and in Africa. China is trying to grab some offshore islands near Vietnam. The world allowed China to grab Tibet, just as it allowed Hitler to grab nearby countries. Remember "appeasement, and peace with honor" in the 1930's? China's imperialism must be checked. Ask our leaders not to grant it most favored nation status: China is a rogue nation. USA should boycott the Olympics. We should quit buying anything made in China, because all this does is make us more indebted to China.
It is a proverb in China "tell a lie thousands of time, the next generation will take it as truth". USA and UK had boycotted Moscow Opympics. What's their problem now ? China's borders ends at Great Wall of China. All countries north and west of this wall are illegally occupied by Chinese colonisers.
The brutal suppression of Tebitan protestors is on par with the Chinese Communist Party. The world has not questioned their dictatorship because it delivered prosperity to their people. The brutality that has been on full display to the world shows that the world has been living in a fools paradise and has been self indulgent at the price of the Tibetan people. Tibetan autonomy would be workable only in a democracy. The world needs to wake up to this fact. The Dalai Lama is the only living representative of the Bhuddists. All Bhuddists in South Asia have every reason to identify with his cause. I expect the world government not to take a blind bit of notice until China is hurt in the only other way. Tawain and France have been exceptions but we shall whether they follow up their words with actions. That is by boycott of China and its exports.
Brutality is the integral part of Communist philosophy. Tibet or Nandigram, Communists will always use brutal force to impose their ideology.

Tibetans have a right to freedom from oppressive chines regime. Olympics cannot be held by a country which is killing peaceful demonstrators. The world should call for a boycott of olympics 2008 if China refuses to budge. The IT industry should take a decision not to outsource to China in protest of its oppression against Tibet. In the same sense, large retail chains should not buy Chinese products. Such campaigns are far more powerful than diplomatic censure of Chinese regime.
The Dragon is notorious for lies and deception. That is what they played with Nehru. They feigned friendship with him so they can occupy India's real friend Tibet!! Nehru fell for the trick. But not again! India has a smart younger generation!! We will not fall for the Dragon's lies, deception and treachery!! With adequate support from the world community, Tibet will surely succeed. The question is "When?" not "Whether?". Han Chinese better overthrow the Communist Junta to establish Democracy and Liberty in China!!
"But not again", just look the ground reality, India has already fallen. Younger generation is not ruling India. Even Indians are not ruling India.
Deceeption is the art and technique of China. Mao demonised feudalism and rose to power and now cadres in Chinese communist party has become feudal lords. China play the card of Soft Offensive as power game. Tibetans will win the war as they are side of Dharma. Adharmic China will get destroyed like Kauravas. None can escape the Karmafall.
Chinese are good at desceptive war fare. When nothing works, try slandering and character assassination. That is what they are trying now. What ever they do, China and communism will fail and disintegrate with out any trace. If China is so good why Chinese are migrating to other countries. What is happening there is sheer exploitation. Exploiting the poorest of the poor there. A danger in the modern world.
Saturday 29th of March 2008 should be declared ‘Tibet’ day to express world’s solidarity with the Tibetan people in their struggle for freedom and justice, and to coincide with the prayer meeting of His Holiness The Dalai Lama at the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi in New Delhi.
Tibet was annexed by China by using military force.The fact that this aggression went unchallenged (because there was a power vaccume in the region after World War II ) encouraged China to unleash further wars and aggressions. Lessons from the past dictate that Indian public should support Tibetan Satyagrah.
Who but the dalai lama has the temerity to challenge the chinese government. The US and other wesyern nation should learn and support the cause whole heartedly rather than diplomatically.
US and UK can only attack the countries without armed forces like Iraq and Afghanistan. They shake in their boots when some one even utter the word China.
India being a land of snake charmers, has to tackle Chinese Cobra with extream caution, before it strike. India knows that and is a causality of that bite, and so is Dalai Lama. Civilized World is watching it,knows Chinese cobra when cornered can not only strike but can also change into "fire throwing dragon".
it is unimaginable that china can accuse dalai lama of masterminding the unrest in tibet. In that case they should issue a warrant of arrest and summon him to Lhasa to answer the charges.Dalai lama should go to Tibet and defend himself even at the cost of going to jail. this is what Gandhi did to overthrow the British from our soil. Freedom cannot be won by sitting well ensconced in Dharamsala . The Dalai lama must enter tibet and fight for the rights of the innocent Tibetans who are struggling against an oppressive regime bent upon carrying out a cultural genocide in Tibet.He should carry out the struggle nonviolently.
Dalai Lama is dealing with most rabbid violent Chinese. Do you think there will be a fair trial ? Gandhi delt with British and was treated with honesty. Do you expect this from China ?
Mr.Dutt, Can you please be more practical and rational when expressing on your views. The commies who have occupied Tibet do not care a damn about world opinion unlike the British who ruled India. The Dalai lama has stuck to his Gandhian philosophy of non-violence.
Dear Mr.DuttYou are very right, but unlike the british the commi military junta is uncivilized. We are looking at Dr.Aung Suu kyi in Burma. I personally think its a failure of Indian Foregin Policy. India cannot be called a regional superpower unless it shows some interest in the stability and democratization of its neighbouring states. Afterall a stable neighborhood is most important for our own satefy sakes.
