* How is Life different from other dramas?
There are a lot of cop shows around. This is very different, we have a crime of the week which we solve every week. On top of that, there is an on-going case, which is the Charlie Crews conspiracy. And everyone is involved on that one. And we have really great characters that are really well written. I think it's a fun show with lot humour. The show doesn't take itself too seriously.
* What attracted you to the role of Dani Reese in Life?
I read the script and I was immediately interested. I really like playing characters who are not just a bunch of fluff. I like the fact that she has a dark side and she has some demons she needs to overcome. There's a struggle within her, given her alcohol and her drugs past. She has a struggle with her father. So there's a lot happening with her all the time. She's not a simple character at all.
There are times when it was hard for me to play her. For the most part, our job is to tell the story and my story is maybe more complex than the other. Dani is very sarcastic. I don't think she's hard to play.
* How did you prepare for the role?
First for all, I went gun training for about three months. I went to the gun range just to make sure the gun was an extension of my arm, so I can be really comfortable with that. I am also rather like Dani — I have a cheeky side and a dark side.
* You have done a couple of films before. What difference you found?
The difference between movies and TV is in TV you are moving at a much quicker pace, with anywhere between 6-10 script pages a day. For films, you are lucky if you shoot three pages a day. And in the end, it's more gratifying because it's instant gratification. The film processes a lot longer than TV.
* What's it like working with Damian Lewis?
Horrible (laughs)! He's one of the most charming fellows I have ever met! We got along very well. We bicker with each other, we love working with each other. I work with him and I learn from him. We have a great chemistry and I think it shows on-screen.
