There are some tasks that men regard with trepidation, and one of them is definitely buying lingerie for their lady loves. This Valentine’s Day, however, they can shop for lacy teddy in relative obscurity by logging onto www.shopimagine.in, a Pune-based website that launched a week ago, specially focusing on Valentine’s Day. Shopimagine.in is a venture promoted by a California-based NRI, Hina Saiya. “I was interested in working out a new online retail model for the Indian urban professional woman. Then I decided to coincide my launch with Valentine’s Day, since this is a big gifting occasion for young lovers,” explains Saiya.

According to a recent survey, Valentine’s is second only to Diwali, when it comes to buying gifts in India. It’s bigger than any other festival, including Christmas. The Pune-based online portal is the first of its kind in India, with an initial luxury lingerie selection of over 100 items and offers the largest selection of baby-doll outfits, chemise, teddies, bridals, as well as exclusive club wear. Apart from showcasing various models wearing the latest designs, the site also has some basic information regarding lingerie, a territory that most Indian men are not familiar with. Starting from describing various products and their usage, what is unique about shopimagine.in is that it offers a Live Chat Support system, where one can type in their queries and receive answers instantly over email if they haven’t loaded the chat software.

To make the occasion a little more colourful, the site has tied up with leading florist brand Ferns ‘N’ Petals. Log on to the www.fnp.in to shop for your Valentine and send her flowers and then of course, woo her with luxury lingerie from shopimagine.in.
