Lohri celebrated in schools

Ludhiana, January13 A festival of Lohri was celebrated at Kundan Vidya Mandir here today. The campus was decorated on the occasion and a special arrangment was made for the students of KG and primary sections.

The students danced around bonfire and presented bhangra and giddha. They flew kites on the occasions and also ate ground-nut, rewaries and gachak. S.C. Saxena, the school principal, along with all the section heads attended the function. The children were told about the importance of Lohri by the school teachers.

Students had a gala time at Jatindera Greenfield School where Lohri was celebrated with fervour. The main highlights of the day were giddha, bhangra and a choreography. The children danced to the tune of Punjabi numbers.

Manpreet kaur Dhaliwal, the school manager, and Suman Arora, the school principal, appreciated the efforts of the students.
