Love blossoms in Jammu on Valentines' Day

Jammu Love is in the air on the Valentines Day in the city of temples, Jammu on Saturday, when advance bookings for 'roses' and 'gifts' followed by heavy rush of customers was witnessed right from the morning at gift and flowers shops.

This time there is not any single organization has given call against V-Day celebrations in Jammu, however state police have already announced that legal action will take against those try to disrupt anybody's personal life, said official sources.

Rahul of Kauvery Flower shop at Residency Road, who also opened his outlet till mi-night on Friday, said, "Many people buy flowers for their loved ones, a day before and many of them even wish V-Day to their beloved at the mid-night, so we opened the shop till late night on the eve of the occasion."

Similarly, owner of Archies Gallery at Gandhi Nagar said that he have many orders for rose bunches, gifts and especially home deliveries. "We opened our shop today a bit early than other days and seen many youth waiting outside for flowers and gifts."

Youth in Jammu are also enjoying the day without any fear from any political or social organization, Vishal a college going boy, said, "Valentines Day means a day that teaches us the lesson of love and there is nothing wrong in it if you love someone and expressed it."

"We guys will celebrate it in our college premises by offering flowers and gifts to each other," he added.

Meanwhile, taking no risks Jammu Police have deployed men in civics in and around the city, especially near Jammu Universities and the women colleges to avoid any mischief with those celebrating V-Day.

SSP Jammu, Manohar Singh said, "No body is above law, so police will take action against those attempt to break law and try to create nuisance anywhere in the city."

no one from jammu says anything when u get all the goodies from centre....and u have problem even if kashmir is missing from a valentine day news. real sick mentality people of kashmir have.

Venkaiah Naidu of BJP says that Valentine's Day is not part of Indian culture.Who desides what is Indian Culture or not. If taken to logical ends even clothes like pants and shirt or Shalwar Kameez is not truly Indian so also English language. Is BJP and its leaders the sole authority on Indian culture??
