You were linked to Sreesanth as part of the promotional campaign for a beauty product.
It was Lux’s promotional strategy to launch their new product, and the so-called rumours were cleared later at a press conference. It was a joke and we took it in good spirit. I hope everyone else does the same.

Did it mean anything that you replaced Aishwarya Rai in Tarun Mansukhani’s Dostana?
It doesn’t mean anything. We only act in movies which we are destined to do. I have been replaced by other actors in so many previous films. And contrary to reports, Dostana is not a ‘bold’ film; it’s a funny family movie.

Are you friendly with Abhishek Bachchan off the sets as well?
Unfortunately, we get to meet mostly during shooting, and sometimes, at social dos. Before Drona, we did Bluffmaster together. He is one of my favourite co-stars. Abhishek is fantastic in Drona as well and the two of us look very good together.

How were you injured while shooting for Drona?
I tore a muscle while doing a somersault. It was painful, but I had to recover in time.

Did your modelling background help in portraying your character in Fashion?
Not really. I was a model just for six months and I drew a lot from the modelling fraternity for my role in Fashion. The film is set in the fashion industry, but it will be wrong to compare it with Page 3, though it is realistic in flavour.

Is it true that you are on a stringent diet regimen to get the right look for Fashion?
I don’t believe in controlling my diet or being anorexic. I always follow a healthy diet to look good. But it’s true that I am looking towards having a lean body in Fashion. Hopefully, the same look will work for Dostana as well.

Did you get along with your Fashion co-star Kangana Ranaut?
She is a very sweet and lovely girl. We got along quite well, though we have not had too many sequences together till now. A lot of the portions where we will be seen together are still left, and I am looking forward to it.
