MCM DAV wins overall trophy

Ahmedabad, February 6 Mcm DAV College for Women, Sector 36, which amassed 786 points, claimed the overall trophy in the Panjab University inter-college yoga (women) championship being held on the PU campus on Wednesday.

MCM were followed by Gopi Chand Arya Mahila College, Abhor (769.5 points) and Government College for Girls, Sector 11, and (712 points) respectively.

Bharti of GGD SD College, Sector 32, was declared the best all round yogi of the tournament with 169.5 points while Bhavna of MCM DAV College bagged the second spot with 167.5 points. Manisha of Panjab University Campus (164 points) finished third.

Results: 1. MCM DAV College for Women (team members: Bhavna, Esha, Gurinder, Sunita, Rupanjit Kaur), 2. Gopi Chand Arya Mahila College, Abhor (team members: Priyanka Rani, Neelam Rani, Davinder Kaur, Mamta Rani, Santosh Rani), 3. Government College for Girls, Sector 11 (team members: Anu Verma, Ritu Rani, Kanchan, Bhanu Priya Pooja); Individual allround best yogi: 1. Bharti (GGD SD College, Sector 32, 169.5 points), 2. Bhavna (MCM DAV College for Women 167.5 points), 3 Manisha (PU Campus, 164 points).
