Subsequently, innovative tour operators, agri-tourism entities, resort owners, NGOs and other groups who try to promote tourism in the state by providing a unique experience to the travelers will now be able to register themselves as partners in this initiative.
“MTDC will support such initiatives and help in solving problems usually faced by the service providers. It will also facilitate interaction with co-members through workshops and conferences,” said an official press release.
The tour packages being made available to tourists will be different from traditional tourism and will be based on agriculture, nature, adventure sports, historical and archaeological heritage, arts and crafts, food and beverages, customs or traditions and lifestyle. Trained guides or volunteers who can provide travelers with authentic information will be made available by the partners of the scheme.
The registered packages and schemes under Mahabhraman will be publicised by MTDC at national and international levels and will be supported in future by online reservation system.
It will help increase the turnover of the service provider implying more profit and contribution towards development of state tourism, said the press release.
The platform, says MTDC, will enable revival and encouragement of local arts, crafts and cuisine and will enable employment generation at the local level.
