Madonna will do her best for marriage: Brother

Madonna's brother Christopher Ciccone says the singer would do her best to maintain her marriage to British director Guy Ritchie and that he doubts she had an affair with Yankee baseball player Alex Rodriguez. Madonna and Ritchie have been plagued by persistent tabloid rumours that their marriage is to end, prompting the singer to release a statement saying she is not planning to divorce her husband and denying an affair with Rodriguez.

Jimmy Kimmel ends 5-year romance
Popular U.S. comedians Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman have broken-off their five-year romance, publicists for both said, ending a relationship that provided fertile ground for outrageous humour. Kimmel, 40, is host of the late-night ABC television talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Silverman, 37, has her own comedy show, The Sarah Silverman Program, on the cable TV network Comedy Central.

Jolie twins doctor admits to pre-birth pressure
The doctor who delivered Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's twins over the weekend has admitted to feeling the pressure of dealing with one of the world's most famous couples. Oscar-winning actress Jolie gave birth to son Knox Leon and daughter Vivienne Marcheline by caesarean section at the Lenval hospital in the southern French city of Nice .

Beatles’ widows honour producer George Martin
The widows of former Beatles John Lennon and George Harrison led an all-star tribute to Sir George Martin, the producer who molded the Fab Four into the world's most important pop music force. Martin, 82, received the Grammy Foundation Leadership Award, in recognition of his humanitarian and charitable efforts, during a dinner and concert featuring the likes of singer Tom Jones and rock guitarist Jeff Beck.

Hellboy II heavenly at box-office
The Hellboy sequel sizzled at the weekend box-office in North America, while Eddie Murphy bombed with his latest comedy, Meet Dave, according to studio estimates issued recently. Hellboy II: The Golden Army, starring Ron Perlman as a cigar-chomping demon who fights evil, opened at No. 1 after selling about $35.9 million worth of tickets.
