London She maybe the 'Queen of Pop' but Madonna is finding it hard to get a hold in Hollywood as she is having problems securing backing for her new film.

The 51-year-old singer hasn't had much success in the film industry after a string of flops in recent years but is determined to be respected among film critics and so has moved behind the camera and turned her hand to scriptwriting, as reported.

"I just finished writing a script and I am trying to get funding and casting for it, believe it or not," Madonna said.

The 'Celebration' singer's last film 'Swept Away' in 2002 was a complete disaster on Box-office directed by his ex-beau Guy Ritchie but Madonna who is now dating Brazilian model Jesus Luz is set to show her romantic side with the film.

"It's called We and it's a love story. It is two parallel love stories told from a woman’s point of view, obviously. One is a historical story that took place with the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. And the other is one I made up about a couple in New York," Madonna added.
