Singur (WB), August 25: After a hectic day marked by presence of personalities like Amar Singh and Medha Patkar, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee and party leaders settled for the night at the indefinite dharna site, just outside the Tata Motors car project area.

While Banerjee, who had addressed the large gathering besides conducting the proceedings in the day long session, retreated into her makeshift room, next to the dharna manch late Sunday night, her followers were seen reclining on the vast expanse of Durgapur Expressway, adjacent to the plant site, blocking the arterial road.

The sundry vehicles, trucks, buses and jeeps, used to ferry the supporters were seen parked on the side.
